Horse A-Z
1
Horse silk
7/1
Winning point-to-pointer and fair bumper performer who was still in with a chance when unseating his rider three out in a much better contest at Fairyhouse earlier this month. Respected if none the worse for that mishap.
2
Horse silk
3/1
Point-to-point winner who showed respectable form in bumpers before finishing fourth of 22 on his hurdling debut at Punchestown. Looks a leading contender with improvement on the cards.
Milan gelding who cost €25,000 as a three-year-old and is from a family of winning hurdlers. Will probably need this debut experience, but is one to watch with the future in mind.
4
Horse silk
66/1
Point-to-point winner who has been well held in two hurdles contests. Hard to recommend on that evidence so others make much more appeal.
5
Horse silk
Kickham225
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Keith Donoghue| T: G Elliott
25/1
Sent off at big prices and was well beaten in a couple of maiden hurdles when trained by Sandra Hughes. Debut for powerful stable, and needs to show dramatic improvement to figure.
6
Horse silk
4/1
Won his only point-to-point and, after a debut second in a bumper, he duly obliged in fine style in a similar contest at this track. Makes his hurdling debut and is of plenty of interest.
7
Horse silk
Minella Fairt335
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: J M Moore| T: N Meade
7/2
Off the mark at the third attempt in bumpers when winning easily at Limerick last December. Has a lengthy absence to overcome on his hurdling debut, but is certainly worth a check in the betting.
Landed a Fairyhouse bumper on debut in March, last year, and returned from a long lay-off to finish third to an odds-on stable companion on his hurdling debut at Down Royal earlier this month. Should strip fitter for top connections.

Nick Lost335
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: D N Russell| T: H De Bromhead| BF
8/1
Fourth to the smart Claimantakinforgan on his only start in a point-to-point, he was well held in a bumper when last seen almost a year ago. Should do better now hurdling, but is likely to need the run.
10
Horse silk
33/1
Unfancied in the market when well held in three bumpers. Makes his hurdling debut with plenty to prove.
11
Horse silk
33/1
Stowaway gelding out of an Old Vic mare, so he is bred for the job. That said, it will be a surprise if this debut experience is not needed.
12
Horse silk
50/1
Point-to-point winner who has shown little in two maiden hurdles. Can only be watched in a first-time tongue tie.

Forecasts

Derrinross (3/1), Minella Fair (7/2), Lighthouse Warrier (4/1), Miracle In Medinah (5/1), Caliption (7/1), Nick Lost (8/1), Kickham (25/1), Imperial Reprise (25/1), Young Paddymc (33/1), Therellalwaysbeone (33/1), Dawn Light Cave (50/1), Johnnyonepunch (66/1)

Verdict

Caliption ran well until unseating in a better race last time and is respected, while Miracle In Medinah represents top connections and should be thereabouts. However, the selection is LIGHTHOUSE WARRIER, who has looked talented in a point-to-point and two bumpers and can makes a winning start over timber. Nick Lost, Minella Fair and, in particular, Derrinross, are others to consider.
  1. Lighthouse Warrier
  2. Derrinross
  3. Miracle In Medinah
