Completed five-timer over hurdles in 2015 but handicapper has had his measure since and he therefore remains a maiden over fences from five starts. Best effort was when 2L second at Carlisle (2m4f) last time. Goes on soft and claims from 2lb higher.
Proved himself in bottomless ground when winning a novices' hurdle (2m4½f) at Leicester in February and not disgraced in a Grade 3 next time. Went well for long enough over an inadequate trip on chase debut and can improve for that and this trip.
Stays 3m2f in soft ground and after some useful hurdles form he made an immediate improvement when scoring on his chase debut at Chepstow. Pulled up after 6lb rise to this mark last time, so needs to get back on track, but not easy to rule him out.
Sent off favourite in a Listed Ascot chase earlier in the year, but fell there and has not been the same in two starts since. May have needed his reappearance and has now been dropped 3lb. Enjoys soft ground and strong claims if back to his best.
Stays well/acts with cut and goes into this 2lb lower than when scoring in a mares' contest at Newcastle in March. Well held on reappearance, but with that under her belt and now dropped to this slightly shorter trip, she should be thereabouts.
Southwell novices' hurdle winner (3m, good to soft) last December. Yet to repeat or better that performance, but showed some promised behind wide-margin winner on his chase debut at Aintree last month and not ruled out from 2lb lower.
Won in first-time blinkers on his second chase start at Chepstow (2m7½f, heavy) in January from 4lb lower. Matched that effort next time. Not bad return run back at that venue earlier in the month and now dropped 4lb. Yard in form and not ruled out.

Solstice Star (10/3), Chef D'Oeuvre (10/3), Full Irish (4/1), Allchilledout (6/1), Two Smokin Barrels (13/2), Crystal Lad (15/2), Nobuttaboy (8/1), Saint John Henry (10/1)
The best race of the day and one where CHEF D'OEUVRE is taken to get back to winning ways after a nice pipe-opener and a 3lb drop in the ratings. Solstice Star is another who promised more from his reappearance and can go well, with most of the others entering calculations especially Nobuttaboy, Allchilledout, Full Irish and Two Smokin Barrels.
