Four-time winner last season, came up short at big spring festivals, but winner again on reappearance in 2m Wetherby Listed contest on reappearance at the start of this month. Doesn't appear to be screaming out for this trip, but player if staying.

Displayed some good form last season winning two handicaps and running a fine race in a Grade 1 Mares' hurdle at Cheltenham. Again showed well off big weight on reappearance at Bangor this month and should be right there if taking to new trip.

Won a Warwick Listed Mares' contest in February (2m5f, heavy) for the best of her five hurdle victories but held in better company towards the end of last season. Reappeared with fair effort over inadequate 2m at Ffos Las, this much more suitable.

Two-time Grade 1 scorer in spring 2016. Produced rock solid effort behind Apple's Jade in Navan Grade 2 on reappearance and that gives her big claims upped to 3m for the first time.

Has turned a corner over the summer and looks much more at home over obstacles now, winning at Worcester (2m4f, good to soft) in September and solid second since at Cheltenham over furlong extra. Steep jump in class from novices' to this.

Forecasts

Jer's Girl (5/4), La Bague Au Roi (11/4), Midnight Tour (4/1), Rons Dream (10/1), Morello Royale (16/1), Treackle Tart (25/1)

Verdict

JER'S GIRL earns the nod here, with her form and the fact she receives 4lb from some key rivals equal factors. The dual Grade 1 winner put in a fine effort behind Apple's Jade on her reappearance and that ought to make her a tough nut to crack. La Bague Au Roi is perhaps the biggest danger, she's a prolific winner and showed plenty guts to earn Wetherby win on reappearance, though this new trip is a question against her. Midnight Tour ran a fine race at Cheltenham in March (when the selection fell) and showed her well-being under a big weight at Bangor recently, ensuring she's of interest now. Last year's runner-up Rons Dream isn't discounted, though may need a career-best to land the top prize.
  1. Jer's Girl
  2. La Bague Au Roi
  3. Midnight Tour
