143-rated hurdler won took a Grade 2 novice hurdle at Fairyhouse in April in fine style. Likely to have plenty of market support from powerful stable.
Modest and low-grade winning hurdler with a rating of 120 over timber. By top stayer Westerner but well out of his depth here.
Hit the deck on his chasing debut at Galway last month and subsequently tailed of at Punchestown prior to a 28L defeat behind Tombstone earlier this month. Very little to be positive about.
Made a promising chasing debut when finishing a neck behind Dinaria Des Obeaux finishing second of 11 at Wexford. Can be expected to improve.
Well behind Calino D'airy when eighth of 14 in a Galway beginners chase last month. Tough ask and others preferred.
Not a lot more was expected than his fourth of six finishing 48L behind Footpad on chasing debut at Navan recently. Could be in for another torrid time of it here.
Runner-up in the 2015 County Hurdle and missed the whole of last season. Entitled to have needed last month's debut over fences before a 77L defeat behind Footpad recently.
Modest 124-rated hurdler related to winning chasers Outlander, Hidden Cyclone and Champagne Fever. Worth a market check from top yard.
Notched a hat-trick of successes over hurdles in late 2016 at Galway, Navan and Leopardstown though, as yet, nothing of note over the larger obstacles in two starts.
Placed in Grade 2 and Grade 3 novice hurdles in late 2015 and has not been seen since March but has previously won following a break. Market likely to reveal expectations from powerful connections.
Forecasts
Al Boum Photo (4/5), Le Martalin (5/2), Tycoon Prince (11/2), Minella Till Dawn (14/1), Surf Instructor (25/1), Carrigmoorna Matt (33/1), Kilfenora (33/1), That's A Wrap (33/1), Sort It Out (50/1), Nomanbehind (100/1)
The Noel Meade-trained LE MARTALIN could be the one left to make the early running in this intriguing beginners chase and could well have a number of less experienced opponents in trouble in no time. The six-year-old will be looking to build on a promising debut when finishing a neck behind Dinaria Des Obeaux finishing second of 11 at Wexford. Al Boum Photo and Tycoon Prince appear to be the best of the rest.
- Le Martalin
- Al Boum Photo
