5-1 and raced keenly when putting up a very good effort when beaten just ½L on debut in a similar contest (2m, soft) last month. Should come on for that and with his good claimer up it will take a decent effort to beat him.
€22,000 foal who sold for €57,000 at three. Full-brother to 2m1f chase/2m6f hurdle winner Queens Wild and half-brother to chase winners The Phantom Piper (2m4f) and Caspian Piper (2m5f-2m7f). Stable 17% in this discipline, so market check advised.
Recorded a couple of promising efforts in bumpers, both here, earlier on this year (including on heavy). First start for his top trainer today with hood now applied. Should be capable of some improvement and not ruled out.
Ran to a similar level of form in both bumper runs on good ground in Ireland in the summer. Changed hands for £32,000 in August and dam a half-sister to a bumper winner, so still optimism that he might have one of these in him.

Comfortably beaten in both point-to-point starts last year and no bumper success in pedigree, while trainer also yet to have a winner in this discipline. Looks one to watch on debut.

Showed significant improvement for his debut here last December when a 6½L third in a good ground Worcester bumper in June. Has been given time again between runs and no reason why he can't make a big impact this time.

Beaten just over 3L into third in sole Irish point-to-point in March. Dam a half-sister to a bumper winner and stable does quite well in these races, with an 18% strike rate over the past five seasons. Good debut entirely possible.
Half-sister to two bumper winners, out of a 2m1f-2m6f hurdle/chase winner. Represents a stable with a 19% bumper strike rate over five seasons, so well worth checking out in the market ahead of her debut.

Forecasts

Al Dancer (13/8), Ocean Cove (2/1), Shapiro (7/1), Luckofthedraw (8/1), Marble Moon (9/1), I'm Always Trying (9/1), May's Milan (20/1), Moonlight Haze (40/1)

Verdict

An interesting end to the card with AL DANCER taken to confirm the promise of his recent debut with a win, while Marble Moon and Luckofthedraw are considered to be potential dangers to the selection. Moonlight Haze is another with experience and could show up well after being brought along steadily. I'm Always Trying, Ocean Cove and Shapiro look well worth noting in the market ahead of their respective debuts.
  1. Al Dancer
  2. Marble Moon
  3. Luckofthedraw
