Promised success when runner-up in a heavy ground Hereford bumper in February and although he didn't better that effort on his hurdles debut at Carlisle (2m3½f, soft) last month, it was still a good start and one which he can build on over 3m here.
Cost £18,000 after winning an Irish point-to-point (at fifth attempt). Had one or two traffic issues on his rules debut in a Ludlow bumper earlier this month, but should be better for this step up in trip on his hurdles debut. Market check advised.
Runner-up in an Irish point-to-point in the spring and then changed hands for £20,000. Good effort first up under rules in a Sedgefield bumper last time. This trip will play much more to his strengths and with a clear round he could go close.
Ran well in three bumpers, winning the last of them at Exeter (good) and has given cause for optimism in both starts over hurdles so far, the latest when stepped up to 2m4f at Carlisle (soft) last time. Looks in need of 3m and has claims here.
Won an Irish point-to-point at the fourth time of asking and changed hands for £15,000 in the spring. Entitled to need his rules debut (2m4f, good) at Worcester last month and could do better here, especially on this softer ground/up in trip.

Forecasts
Apollo Creed (10/11), Jaunty Flyer (15/8), Fresh New Dawn (5/1), Patgary (20/1), Diamond Reggie (20/1), Craigmor (33/1)
An interesting opener where there is little to choose between APOLLO CREED and Jaunty Flyer on what they have achieved so far, with the former just getting the vote given that he has shown that he can handle bottomless conditions. An improved effort is anticipated from Fresh New Dawn now stepped up in trip and in headgear, while Patgary is one to check out in the market as he too falls into that category.
