This yard are in prime form at the moment with this one looking another good prospect that they have on their hands. Winner of a Hereford novice on her debut she then followed that up with two non-winning but solid efforts. Makes her chase debut; very interesting.

Both novice hurdle wins came at Carlisle with the second coming in rather sloppy fashion at odds-on. Showed himself to be useful off a break when winning on his chasing debut (bettering his hurdles form) in authoritative fashion at Huntingdon; could well follow-up.

Dual novice hurdle winner for whom things haven't really gone to plan over fences so far falling on his debut and making mistakes here last time out. Now tried over further but will need to be far slicker over his fences to take a hand.

More experienced than all of these (7th chase start) who put in a mixed round of jumping to score at Wincanton last time (wore cheekpieces first-time). Made all last time and given a 7lb rise for that success; may be suited by a little further.

Forecasts

Acting Lass (1/1), Bordeaux Bill (4/1), Wilberdragon (4/1), Officer Hoolihan (9/2)

Verdict

An intriguing little contest with both Officer Hoolihan and Wilberdragon coming into this off the back of fairly authoritative wins but both have been given more to do at the weight. The former looks to have more progress in him and looks to be the main danger to the chasing debutante ACTING LASS who should be suited by the switch to fences and this trip. Bordeaux Bill is the one that it’s not hard to have doubts about with his fencing having looked decidedly shaky so far in two starts.
