Won just once in 17 career starts (here in June 2016; 2m soft). However, he's consistent from this kind of mark, regularly making the frame, and he's difficult to knock given that he is brave and races with just one eye.
Has already proved a fair purchase for just £7,000 (November 2016), and was a hurdles winner here (2m7½f heavy) the following month. Still 7lb higher, but has raced only twice since; both times over fences. Back from an eight month absence.
Won a soft ground Newbury handicap hurdle (2m½f) for previous trainer Noel Williams in March 2016 but has largely struggled since. Keeping on to finish third to the well backed Lucarno Dancer (2m) latest on just his fourth start for the stable.
Lightly raced handicap debutant whose 15L 2m Kelso third to Reivers Lad (March 2017) reads reasonably well. However, much more moderate since on quicker ground, and off the track since May.
Got no further than the first hurdle on his handicap bow at Wetherby earlier in the month (2m5f+ good to soft), so effectively this is his handicap debut. Improvement needed based on his earlier efforts and hard to see why that could be forthcoming.
Off since Boxing Day 2016. Never involved at any stage on his handicap debut when eventually pulled up (2m3f+ Wetherby). Eight race maiden.
Not won since New Years Day (2m Catterick, good to soft), but largely consistent from similar marks until a below par effort latest (in stronger company). Races prominently, so likely to be found wanting late on.
Her form on the whole doesn't really amount to all that much, but she seems to handle deep ground and shaped reasonably enough in a first time tongue tie at Kelso latest (2m5f good). Returns from a 3lb lower mark with cheek-pieces now added.
Shown precious little in four starts under rules (three in novice and maiden hurdles). Off since February, and readily discounted on handicap debut unless the market speaks strongly (unlikely).
Ten race maiden who possibly deserves more time in this grade before being totally dismissed. However, he needs to leave his latest course effort (3m) firmly in the past, and at least show some signs of positive progress.
Offered precious little on the racecourse so far, and has fallen 13lb in the weights since switched to handicaps. Still has age on his side, but one to avoid for the moment.
Has shown some minor ability in bumpers, but hasn't translated that to hurdles just yet. Could prove slightly stronger for his Carlisle handicap debut (2m1f soft), and no complete back number from a 3lb lower mark.
A 32 race career maiden who has made the frame on a couple of occasions during the spring months. Beaten 9L by Mr Snoozy (fourth) on her seasonal reappearance at Market Rasen (2m2f+) earlier this month.
Forecasts
Wazowski (9/2), Wig Wam Wiggle (5/1), Toarmandowithlove (6/1), Bingo D'Olivate (13/2), Topham Bay (13/2), Our Morris (12/1), Master Rajeem (14/1), Snowed In (14/1), Skywards Reward (16/1), Lastin' Memories (25/1), Classical Sound (25/1), Along Came Theo (28/1), The Junior Man (80/1)
With the consistent, but difficult to win with Wazowski heading the weights, this is a clear sign that this race isn't the strongest of contests. Bingo D'Olivate has yet to really get going for Gemma Anderson, but shaped as if he's well worth a go over this trip when a never nearer 6½L third to Lucarno Dancer over 2m at the previous meeting, whilst the mare Topham Bay isn't fully dismissed in first time cheek-pieces. However, with no obvious standout performer in the line up, we'll seek some potential value with WIG WAM WIGGLE. He showed promise on his bumper debut at Newcastle in February, but has yet to translate that form to hurdles. However, he is largely unexposed in handicap company and should feel the benefit of a recent spin at Carlisle (handicap debut).
- Wig Wam Wiggle
- Bingo D'olivate
- Master Rajeem
