Kept on strongly to score by 13L in deep ground at Perth in September (2m) on his UK debut, and will encounter similar conditions this afternoon. Disappointing in a tougher race (Listed) at Wetherby latest, but fully respected under a penalty.

No more than a fair Flat handicapper for Jim Bolger in Ireland (68 rated), but gelded and moved to England prior to making a winning hurdles debut at Sedgefield last month (2m1f good to soft). Tougher under a penalty.

Cost 35,000gns as a yearling, but didn't show much in four starts on the Flat for Brian Meehan (mainly over 1m). Knocked down cheaply (£1,300) in August, and switches to hurdles for stable debut.
Off the mark on the Flat at Pontefract in October (1m4f soft), and given his trainer, he looks the type to make an impression over hurdles. Should handle conditions, and by far the most appealing of the hurdles newcomers.
Disappointing on the Flat for Ilka Gansera-Leveque; albeit untested outside of maidens. Didn't show much on her hurdles/stable debut at Market Rasen recently, and you'd be surprised if she has the strength and appetite for this slog.

Verdict

Very testing conditions are expected following a deluge of rainfall in the Northumberland area since Sunday, and the Perth winner ENEKO is best placed to take advantage of the weather. This ex-French racer sluiced through the mud on his UK debut, and whilst seemingly below par in the Wensleydale (Listed) Juvenile Hurdle at Wetherby earlier this month, represents connections who have regularly been amongst the winners at Hexham this autumn. Sedgefield winner Level Of Intensity is the likeliest danger for Devon based handler Nigel Hawke; who has also recently made Hexham a relatively happy hunting ground.

  2. Level Of Intensity
  3. Cornerstone Lad
