Trainer has been very quiet of late (last win came back in June) and although this one has reached the frame in three of her last four starts she is finding a win hard to come by. A repeat of her last run here over 2m4f would put her in the mix though; hood goes on for the first time.

Her three runs over hurdles so far have hardly seen her beat a horse home and this looks another tough situation with low-grade handicaps far more suitable.

Makes a rather belated hurdling debut having shown some fair form on the Flat in the past although her last win was over two years ago now. Recent Flat efforts have only been moderate and she may be best watched for now in debut.

Half-sister to useful (on his day) chaser Noble Legend who served these connections well. Has looked fairly ordinary and as though she is still learning in her two bumper starts so far failing to show much improvement from her debut and now tried over hurdles.
Made a promising start to her career when winning a Wetherby bumper with Micky Hammond at the time and ran a fair race over hurdles first time up for this yard. Failed to build on that initial outing but has the scope to bounce back here after a break.

Makes her hurdles debut having shown only modest form in bumpers looking a free-going sort and will need to settle better to make an impression. Hood used on the last two starts doesn't appear to have really settled her but is retained here.

Had shown some fair form in bumpers prior to being given a break and being brought back earlier this month for her hurdles debut at Uttoxeter. Jumped well and wasn't knocked about when taking the runner-up slot and given a good chance of going one better here.

Forecasts

Passing Call (8/15), Banjo Girl (11/4), Mountain Path (12/1), Ghinia (16/1), Oksana (33/1), Lady Master (125/1), Bisoubisou (250/1)

Verdict

Not a particularly deep event and it should provide a good opportunity for PASSING CALL to get off the mark over hurdles after her promising debut last time out with nothing of the quality of the winner that day in the field. Banjo Girl will be popular having been placed a few times but her stable are rather quiet at the moment and Mountain Path and Oksana may provide the bigger dangers to the selection.

  2. Mountain Path
  3. Oksana
