Stayed at least 2m5f over hurdles and this trip looks like a good move on his chasing debut. Yet to win when fresh, which is a concern, but cheek pieces may help him do better this time around and if firing he couldn't be ruled out.
It's now 19 months since he won a Fontwell novices' hurdle (2m5½f, soft), after which he was unable to handle the handicapper's assessment of him. Began well enough over fences in the spring without winning, but this looks a good opportunity.
Easy winner of an Irish point-to-point before changing hands for £30,000 in June. 40-1 and tailed off on chase debut at Chepstow (2m7½f, good to soft) last month. Can improve for that, but he may have to wait for other days.

Forecasts
Red Hanrahan (8/15), Holbrook Park (7/4), The Lion Dancer (20/1), Kingston Mimosa (66/1)
Another small field and a race that really revolves around RED HANRAHAN. If he puts in a clear round on this step up to 3m then he has a few pounds in hand on official ratings and he should be capable of a first chase success. Holbrook Park does not have a huge amount to find, but on his first chase run and with a modest record when fresh, he looks worth taking on. The Lion Dancer is hard to assess after his first effort, but you couldn't rule him out from joining battle for the runner-up berth.
