Bolted up at Southwell last week and a penalty still leaves him 7lb below May's C&D success. Not the most consistent but impossible to rule out.
Not an easy ride but scored at Carlisle off an attractive mark before flopping in better company at Thirsk. Up in trip but was placed over C&D off 11lb higher in 2015.
Has dropped to a handy mark during a quiet period for the yard. Good run last time over an inadequate trip and he should be a player with the stable's runners performing better of late.
Has won races at Doncaster and Pontefract this year to earn rewards for his consistency. Off his last winning mark and able rider on board, but others look potentially better treated in a competitive race for the grade.
Landed two races over shorter last winter including one here. Just 1lb higher than the last of those victories but inconsistent this summer. Stays this far but has looked a difficult ride and partner is seeking his first win.
Off the track two years and more than three years since his last victory. Has joined a shrewd trainer so the market ought to be informative.
Best form is at 1m4f and tackles this trip for the first time. Goes well for this rider but current mark leaves him vulnerable against more attractively treated opponents.
Last win came here in February 2016. Not at his best lately but blinkers are back on and a top young rider has been booked.
Twice a wiinner here over 1m6f and in good form lately at Newcastle over this trip. Good ride for a claimer but probably better in lower grade nowadays.
Heavily eased when scoring at Lingfield but turned in a flat performance next time. Given a break since and shrewd handler has claimed an experienced rider. Trainer does well in apprentice races and so has to go down as a leading contender.
Lightly raced Irish maiden has shown little so far. Up in trip and visor fitted on debut for new yard and probably warrants a market check.
C&D winner in basement grade and remains 4lb above that winning mark. Recent efforts are not encouraging and she has work to do in order to improve a 1-21 record.

Forecasts
Gabrial's Star (7/4), Alternate Route (15/8), Wordiness (7/1), Omotesando (12/1), Bamako Du Chatelet (12/1), Regal Gait (14/1), Hallstatt (20/1), Itlaaq (20/1), Sheriff Of Nawton (22/1), Dakota City (25/1), Dream Serenade (28/1), Dalasiri (40/1), Kalamkan (50/1)
The top three in the handicap can all claim to be well handicapped. Gabrials Star was impressive at Southwell last week but he has never produced back to back wins and consistency is not his strong suit. Sherrif Of Nawton is open to improvement back up to this trip as is the veteran Itlaaq. ALTERNATE ROUTE was highly impressive when easily accounting for a horse who scored next tim. The jockey booking here looks significant and the three-year-old is given a chance to show his last run was all wrong.
