Returns from a short break back at his optimum trip having been mixing it up in recent starts. Remains 3lb above his last winning mark and 0-7 on AW tracks.
Has two pillar to post wins on the Kempton polytrack but disappointed on sole start here. Now below his last winning mark and drawn to have plenty of use made of him. Stable have a good strike rate here so one for the shortlist
Appreciated a drop in class to land a 7f claimer here in July off a rating of 81. Mark has dropped like a stone since and questions to answer at this level.
Punished by the handicapper for two successes in August but now just 1lb above his last winning mark. 2-4 around here so worthy of consideration.
Notoriously difficult to win with but so nearly landed a gamble here nine days ago. Blinkers had a positive effect and weighted to give another good account.
Exploited good marks to pick up two soft ground handicaps at Redcar recently. However, he has been last on both previous AW starts.
AW debutante found a good strip of ground when scoring over 7f at Yarmouth and a 4lb rise in the weights seems fair.. Winner over 5f last term so can cope with the drop in trip, however both victories have been gained on slower surfaces.
Racing off a career low mark following some tame efforts this autumn. Stable 1-102 since September and signs needed that the stable are back on track.
Requires patient handling and that leaves him requiring luck in running. Clipped heels and almost came down here last time, but he is not one to keep excusing.
Pulled up injured when last seen and returns to action with the yard going through a barren spell. Carries too many doubts.
Dundalk winner for Ger Lyons who has lost his way during the summer and his last three runs have been woeful. Well handicapped at his best but a long time since we saw that level of form.
Below her last winning mark but no signs recently that she is ready to take advantage. Acts on the surface but needs to prove she is back to her best.
At his best when able to dictate matters and that is not certain here. Well weighted on his best form and nicely drawn. Appeared to be finding his level last time but up in grade now.
Forecasts
Rockley Point (3/1), Awesome Allan (9/2), Rapid Ranger (5/1), Don't Blame Me (11/2), Our Greta (8/1), Top of The Bank (10/1), Lady Cristal (14/1), Peachey Carnehan (20/1), Vallarta (20/1), Joey's Destiny (22/1), One Big Surprise (22/1), Buddha Boy (25/1), Assertive Agent (66/1)
Awesome Allan could hardly be in better shape for this modest contest and he is sure to be popular with punters. However, his two previous AW starts suggest a more cautious approach should be adopted in assessing his chances. Rockley Point deserves compensation for a narrow defeat here last time but both he and Rapid Ranger need luck in running. DON'T BLAME ME has won twice on the polytrack but has the draw and early speed to take some catching if adapting to this surface. His trainer does well on his visits here and, having dropped below his last winning mark, he earns the vote in a trappy looking contest.
- Don't Blame Me
- Awesome Allan
- Rockley Point
