Making his first appearance since being gelded when winning a maiden hurdle at Worcester over 2m4f last month. Highly tried contesting a couple of Grade 1's in the spring and likely to run well under a penalty today.
Ran well in a bumper at Warwick (soft) last December but disappointing in two starts since including on hurdling debut at Worcester (2m4f, good) last time out.
Well held in four starts in bumpers and a similar story when finishing runner-up in a match race on hurdling debut at Fontwell (good) in April. Others make more appeal.
Maiden point-to-point winner on good ground in April but well held in a Fontwell (good) bumper earlier this month and more needed on hurdles debut.
Debut winner in a heavy ground bumper here in February last year but well beaten on hurdling debut in November of that year and returns from an absence today.
Placed once from three starts in point-to-points in Ireland and beaten 22L in a bumper on rules debut last month. Likely to improve with experience.
Twice a winner in small field bumpers including on soft ground at Sedgefield at March. Finished mid-division in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree (good) the following month and interesting on hurdling debut.
Made a winning debut when victorious in a Fontwell (good-to-soft) bumper 13 months ago but absent since. Worth a check in the market on her hurdling debut.
Forecasts
Tikkanbar (5/6), Landin (15/8), Book of Gold (6/1), Bold Image (7/1), Some Ambition (25/1), Mickieblueeyes (25/1), Hab Sab (100/1), Laketour Leader (100/1)
Dual bumper winner TIKKANBAR has shown a good level of ability in a four race career so far and he can make a winning debut over hurdles in this opening contest. The selection would appreciate any overnight rain and he can get the better of the penalised runner Landin, successful at Worcester three weeks ago on his first outing since being gelded. Bold Image was a bumper winner at Fontwell a year ago and can claim third for local trainer Suzy Smith.
