Won her maiden hurdle here and has progressed well from that to win a further three times over hurdles. Displayed some good form last season winning two handicaps and running a fine race in a Grade 1 mares' hurdle at Cheltenham; mark demands more now.

Form figures here read 212 although never run over this trip at this venue; beaten at odds-on on her last visit. Found life tough under penalties in novices but was handed a stiff handicap mark; made a good return when making all at Fontwell (now 4lb higher); front runner.

Reeled off five consecutive wins from his debut onwards over hurdles showing some useful form over 2m (ended the season 5th in Triumph Hurdle). Form since then has faded away a bit and he was well held over 3m at Aintree in the spring when last seen.

Better known as a capable but error prone chaser, last seen running at Cheltenham over 3m1f at the Festival to finish 4th. Started out over hurdles last year over a similar trip finishing well but finding this too short; well handicapped though.

Managed to end a long losing run when successful at Musselburgh off a falling mark at the start of the year. Overall record a little patchy but ran exceptionally well at Aintree in April (had won race before) before needing the run on his return.

Failed to win his native Ireland but gained his first win on his second start for this yard at Southwell despite not needing to improve. Looked as though he needed the run on his return last time at Aintree and runs off the same mark here.

One of the early flood of winners for this yard that improved for a change of stable winning twice in weaker events. Has run respectably since putting up a good effort last time in a tough contested (started 50/1); new headgear combination now tried to eke out more improvement.

Stable in fine form and followed up a win on the Flat at Goodwood in a staying handicap with a good hurdles win at Uttoxeter. Won with a little in hand that day with cheekpieces on and judged on his Flat form, may well have more to offer hurdling.

His form in France marked him down as fairly useful (winner of a juvenile at Pau) and he showed that he retained his ability on first start for this yard after over two years off. Well fancied when third to Dashing Oscar at Fontwell and now 3lb better off with that one; respected.

Forecasts

Dashing Oscar (2/1), Buywise (11/2), Loverboy (13/2), Midnight Tour (7/1), Bobo Mac (8/1), Cool Sky (8/1), Clondaw Kaempfer (10/1), Leoncavallo (10/1), Mister Fizz (25/1), Mizen Master (40/1)

Verdict

The Ian Williams team are in superb form at the moment, landing a big race double on Saturday and COOL SKY may be able to add to their tally here given a workable mark by the handicapper. At the other end of the handicap Midnight Tour is 12lb higher than when landing a competitive Listed mares’ handicap in April but is still respected as is the front-running Dashing Oscar as he bids to follow-up his Fontwell win where he had Loverboy back in third although that one was coming off an absence.
