Unraced fifth foal by Kentucky Dynamite out of an unraced dam (Teatime). Brother to French winners Cassiopee (Flat) and Tipsy (2m1f-2m3f hurdle/chase).
Unraced third foal by Doyen out of Sayrianna (a maiden). Mixed messages on pedigree with regards his suitability for racing under National Hunt rules.

Second foal by Fair Mix out of a multiple point-to-point winner (No Virtue). Finished 6L third of 6 to Raving Bonkers on debut at Towcester in October (2m good to firm).

Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Paul O'Brien(5)| T: C Gordon
20/1
Raced over enthusiastically on debut here last month and weakened tamely at the business end of the race, with much work to be done to reverse placings with Shaella.
Unraced 12th foal by Frozen Fire out of an unraced dam (Miss Beverley). Cost €5,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to five winners including Owner Occupier, Lord Lansing and Beverley Hill Billy.
7

Unraced first foal by Midnight Legend out of the 2m hurdle winner Posh Emily. His dam was a half-sister to 2m-2m5f hurdle winner La Marette.

Myboysam
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: Wayne Hutchinson| T: A King
7/2
Unraced third foal by Delegator out of a Fantastic Light mare (Fantastisch). She was a 1m Flat and 2m hurdle winner herself, and a half-sister to the talented Flat, hurdles and chase winner Manyriverstocross. One for the short-list.

100/1
First foal by Cape Cross out of an unraced mare (Yanabeeaa). Whipped round and unseated his rider ahead of his intended debut at Market Rasen last month.

Van Grogan24
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-12| J: G Sheehan| T: D P Quinn
80/1
Colt by Rip Van Winkle out of Metaphor. Cost £21,000 as a yearling and a half-brother to six winners including Justice Belle and Blue Hussar. Soon beaten after racing prominently on debut at Market Rasen last month (finished ninth of 14).
Raven's Pass gelding out of the 1m juvenile winner Wedding March, who cost 9,500 gns at Newmarket in July. Pulled hard, but posted a respectable debut when 3+L third to Normal Norman at Market Rasen last month, and holds a few of these rivals.

Horse silk
Mabela
Age: 3|  Weight: 10-5| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton
6/1
Unraced fourth foal by Oscar out of the fairly useful French Flat/GB hurdles and chase winner Histoire De Moeurs. Cost €24,000 as a yearling, and looks a likely type on paper in receipt of 7lb from her mainly male rivals.
13
Horse silk
125/1
Unraced second foal by Putra Sas out of an unraced dam (Majeeda). Makes little obvious appeal on pedigree for a future National Hunt career.
14
Horse silk
4/1
Hood wearing Casamento filly who is closely related to 1m4f AW winner Cerutty. Posted a pleasing debut over C&D in October when 4L third to Cuckoo's Calling, with the winner, and the second (Normal Norman) both being subsequent scorers.

Forecasts

Myboysam (7/2), Wishmaker (7/2), Shaella (4/1), Mabela (6/1), Avarchie (6/1), Barrsbrook (11/1), Blackjacktennessee (16/1), Midnight Midge (20/1), King Cnut (20/1), Looks Frozen (25/1), Amanda's Teddy (50/1), Van Grogan (80/1), Sutoor (100/1), Sasheeda (125/1)

Verdict

A race in which it's difficult to hold a strong opinion given the level of information on offer for the majority of the runners. Shaella clearly out-performed market expectations when third over C&D last month, and that form has been boosted by both the winner (Cuckoo's Calling) and the runner up (Normal Norman) since. Whilst both Wishmaker and Van Grogan could conceivably better their opening efforts with experience banked. However, this can go the way of a newcomer, with Mabela and MYBOYSAM the likeliest candidates. Preference is for the Alan King trained youngster who makes appeal on his pedigree, being out of a dam who had the speed to win over 1m on the Flat, and the stamina to score over 2m over hurdles.
  1. Myboysam
  2. Mabela
  3. Shaella
