Fair winner of 2m7f novice hurdle at Bangor in December on soft ground, form nosedived a bit in final two outings last term and returns for first look at a fence in public and stable are 3-11 lately.

Good form in maiden hurdles last term, landing his win at Ayr over extended 3m in January in heavy going with little fuss. Fair effort on handicap hurdle bow at Sandown in March in sole outing since and always likely to be better at this game.

Fair handicap hurdler, reached rating of 130, but jumping remains a worry given he fell on chase debut at Newcastle in this month last year (and again over hurdles a month later). Fit from recent Flat outing but caution remains the order of the day.

Jumped well in the main on chase bow last month at Chepstow (2m7½f, good) last month in novice event. Entitled to be fitter though trainer's strike rate here is surprisingly low at 10% in the last year.

Decent hurdler but sole outing over fences at Worcester (2m4f, good) in September was well below par and watching brief is called for until better application is shown in this sphere.

Solighoster207
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: James Best| T: N P Mulholland| OR:  133| D
5/1
Scored a couple of win in novice hurdles early in the year at Fontwell (2m½f, soft) and Towcester (1m7½f, soft), disappointing on final outing in that sphere at Cheltenham in April but won bumper fresh last term and should know his job well.

Forecasts

Billy Bronco (11/8), Joe Farrell (3/1), Oscarteea (3/1), Solighoster (5/1), Back To The Thatch (16/1), Dan Emmett (40/1)

Verdict

Joe Farrell made a decent start over fences last month and can improve, though Rebecca Curtis hasn't enjoyed much luck here lately. Solighoster looked a decent prospect in taking a couple of novice hurdles last term and is respected now sent chasing but it might be that BILLY BRONCO has the answers here. A maiden hurdle winner over extended 3m at Ayr, he also ran well in handicap hurdle at Sandown and March and is bred to be seen at his best over fences. Back To The Thatch represents an in-form yard and isn't without claims.
  1. Billy Bronco
  2. Solighoster
  3. Back To The Thatch
