Brighton winner who put up a brave fight when beaten by a better handicapped rival at Chelmsford. Finished clear of the third so commands respect having gone well on only start here.
Has now won three this campaign without looking an easy ride. Took time to find overdrive last time at Windsor when getting up late to score. There has to be a concern that this trip under these quicker conditions will be far enough.
Winner of a small race at Brighton and has been soundly beaten in two races at Kempton since. Shapes as though she needs further.
Winner at Hamilton but struggling in low grade handicaps of late and well beaten in a sales race last time out. Plenty to prove.
Second of two runs in nurseries, when beaten only a length at Bath, was much the better. Runs off the same mark but the shorter trip is a worry.
Early promise has given way to some tame efforts when pressured. Dropping down the weights and feasible she could have plenty of use made of her from an ideal draw.
Had little chance in a sales race last time but her previous fourth at Chelmsford leaves her 14lb better off with Ghapardo with 3¾L to find. That makes her a leading contender given scope for further improvement.
Forecasts
Ghepardo (5/2), Global Exceed (11/4), Joegogo (4/1), Nampara (6/1), Villa Tora (8/1), Tonkolili (17/2), Haveoneyerself (28/1)
This sharp 5f may prove the undoing of Global Exceed and Joegogo. Tonkolili may set out to make all from a good draw in a bid to exploit her dropping mark. Ghepardo faced a hard task in trying to concede 7lb to a rival she had beaten narrowly on her previous start. Richard Hannon's filly faces a similar dilemma here as she meets NAMPARA, who was just under 4L behind her at Chelmsford, on 14lb worse terms. The lightly raced youngster was having her first run in four months that day and it is hard not to see her being involved.
- Nampara
- Ghepardo
- Joegogo
