50/1
Winning hurdler in France (2m2f, soft) who hasn't quite made the impact expected for this yard, though he did finish a good runner-up over 3m at Wexford (soft) on his penultimate start. Down significantly in trip now.

Delta Workh,t178
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-13| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott
11/2
Flat winner in France (heavy ground) who shaped well in two hurdle runs for this yard in the spring, dotting up by 20L at Punchestown (2m, good). Entitled to step up in grade for his return.

11/4
Exciting prospect in his native France having won a bumper and a hurdle in the mud last autumn for Guy Cherel. Interesting how he fares in the market compared to his stablemate, Delta Work.

Early Doors12
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-13| J: Mark Walsh| T: J P O'Brien| D
3/1
Punchestown bumper winner on his debut and was third in a better event there next time before making a winning start over hurdles at Wexford (2m, soft). Bigger questions asked now but open to improvement.

5/4
Ran too bad to be true in a hot race in France last time out in May but had earlier shown real promise to finish a 2L third in a Grade 1 at Punchestown (2m, good). Every chance here on that form.

Forecasts

Meri Devie (5/4), Ex Patriot (6/4), Duca De Thaix (11/4), Early Doors (3/1), Delta Work (11/2), Amaulino (50/1)

Verdict

A potentially hot contest and, though Ex Patriot has the best form on the board, it's not beyond the realms that something could improve past him. Meri Devie is one alternative but Gordon Elliot's two Gigginstown runners, DELTA NETWORK and Duca De Thaix really take the eye, particularly the former who was a very impressive winner at Punchestown last back-end and looks the type to go on to better things.
  1. Delta Work
  2. Duca De Thaix
  3. Ex Patriot
