Dual point-to-point winner over 3m who was clearly needing further in bumpers at Exeter and Aintree. Missed all of last winter so that an obstacle but has potential over this distance for top trainer.

Appeared to stay 3m well in his lone point-to-point in April when third. Interesting place to start and represents an in-form trainer so can't be ruled out

Maidne on four point-to-points (fell twice) who was 150/1 on hurdles debut at Exeter last month over 2m1f. Ran with some promise in staying on seventh so this trip may help but others make more appeal.

4/1
Four time chase winner at up to 3m4½f. Reverted to hurdles at Southwell last time where he was a running on second over 3m. This trip sure to suit and found an opportunity here.
Weakening ninth of 11 at Ffos Las in a bumper last month. This an altogether different task and trip and hard to be confident despite top trainer.
Dual 3m point-to-point scorer who won lone bumper at Aintree before joining this yard. Fair third of 10 in his hurdles bow at Exeter last month and now upped 1m in trip. Possibilities.
Dual bumper winner before bumping into smart mare Cap Soleil in a Listed race where she finished third. Second of 14 in a decent looking Chepstow novice hurdle over 2m3½f last month. Looks ready for further so could stay and chance if so.

Forecasts

Verdict

An intriguing novice hurdle this and the vote goes to JUST A THOUGHT. She was a classy bumper performer and showed enough recently at Chepstow to think she could quite easily win races at around 2m4f so the decision to go over so much further here is presumably made with plenty of confidence. If she stays she will be hard to beat. No Buts will find any chinks in her armour. The experienced staying chaser will relish this stamina test and ran well at Southwell back over hurdles last time. Bill and Barn has it to so after so long off but he looked one with potential for staying hurdles in bumpers so can't be ruled out.
