Well-beaten over C&D last week but in better form of a similar mark prior to that. Not ruled out if showing some of her better form in first-time cheekpieces.
Ran a couple of nice races when trained by Sir Michael Stoute but remains a maiden and has only put in tame efforts since switching yards.
Denied at hat-trick at Wolverhampton last time when sent off favourite, but two wins prior both came at that course so clearly handles Tapeta. Claims off 2lb higher than his last win.
Only win came over 6f but has been denied by just a neck over this distance in the past, and looked like returning to form at Leicester last time out.
Remains a maiden but some of her better efforts have come recently, and first-time blinkers may be able to bring about the required improvement to see her go close.
Hinted at ability when trained by Jed O'Keeffe, but efforts for this yard have been underwhelming, including when well-beaten in a Redcar seller last time.
Has shown little in races over this trip and shorter and difficult to see him getting off the mark here in a first-time eyeshield.
Surprise C&D victory in March was his first win since May 2015 and his only to date on the AW. Only one other placed effort on a synthetic surface in 15 attempts overall.
All three career victories on the AW but recent form nowhere near that standard, with a change of trainer seemingly making little difference.
Ran well over C&D on only her second start last year, but recent form in handicaps/sellers hasn't been of the required standard for her to mount a challenge here.
Forecasts
Born To Reason (2/1), Street Poet (6/1), Naupaka (6/1), Cookie Ring (7/1), Supreme Power (9/1), Subotal (10/1), Tifl (11/1), Urban Spirit (14/1), Cosmic Dust (25/1), Nelson's Bay (33/1)
Lots of longstanding maidens or horses on long losing streaks here, but conversely BORN TO REASON was on a hat-trick when running better than the bare form figure suggests in seventh at Wolverhampton last time. Just 2lb higher from his most recent win he is reunited with Dougie Costello, who rode him to those two recent victories, and can make it three from his last four here. Tifi hinted at a revival last time and can follow him home along with Supreme Power.
- Born To Reason
- Tifl
- Supreme Power
