Best effort in bumpers came on debut at Southwell earlier in the year on debut but he failed to really build on that on his next outing. Hood now goes on for a trainer who has a modest record in bumpers.
Second foal of an unraced dam who has some winning jumping relations in her pedigree although trainer is 0/10 in this sphere in the last five years.
Makes some appeal on breeding out of a dam who was a runner-up in a point-to-point with plenty of bumper winners in her pedigree. Yard are going well in bumpers at the moment and makes plenty of appeal here.
Cost €34,000 as a three-year-old and is a half-brother to bumper winner/useful hurdler It's High Time. Dam is related to the yard's smart hurdler Court Minstrel; yard 0/7 in bumpers this year but should soon put that right.
Ran out a decisive winner of an Irish Point-to-point on his 5th attempt interesting that he now joins an up-and-coming yard and makes his bumper debut here. Yard have yet to score in this sphere although they have only had three runners.
Started at 200/1 on his only bumper start so far and finished well held and nothing much expected here. Yard 0/9 in bumpers in last five years.
From a stable in good form at the moment and who had a bumper winner at Chepstow yesterday. Half-brother to smart bumper performer Next Destination and has a solid chance here.
Form of his two Irish point-to-point runs looks modest enough (runner-up in one) but did cost £24,000 after those outings. Has joined a yard that is going well though and 3/11 with their bumper runners this season.
Half-brother to two winners on the Flat he finished well held when a 100/1 chance on his debut at Chepstow. Would need to make a lot of improvement to take a hand here.
Half-brother to a modest performer on the Flat he's hooded for his debut from a yard not noted for their bumper winners (3/58 last five years).
Price increased to £28,000 when sold as a three-year-old and he's a half brother to a point-to-point winner. Plenty of stamina on the dam's side of the pedigree and he may find this a sharp test but trainer has a good record here.
Forecasts
Black Kalanisi (3/1), Imperial Nemesis (7/2), Court Royale (5/1), Craigmor (11/2), Vinndication (13/2), Sonic (8/1), Another Crick (12/1), Totterdown (16/1), Battlebrave (33/1), Earcomestom (50/1), The Final Whistle (100/1)
Those with experience aren’t exactly an exciting bunch and this may be best left to one of the newcomers. Black Kalanisi from the Pauling barn makes some appeal from a yard going well on all levels at the moment but the Twiston-Davies trained Imperial Nemesis is just preferred with the yard having plenty of success in this sphere at the moment. Kim Bailey has a good record with his bumper runners at Ludlow (4/7 in the last five years) and he runs Vinndication who should go well but might just need further. Court Royale is another debut runner who makes some appeal along with Sonic for a yard that have also done well with their bumper runners so far this season.
- Imperial Nemesis
- Black Kalanisi
- Court Royale
