Sold for 11,000gns this year, down from 400,000gns as a yearling. That's clearly concerning but still has an attractive pedigree.
Eight-race maiden who makes his debut here for who is already his eighth trainer. Likely to come up short again in a first time tongue strap unless the change of surroundings has had a big impact.
One of the more experienced contenders in the field but has shown he has ability having only been out the first three once in five starts. A leading contender to finally get off the mark.
Makes his British/stable debut in a first time tongue strap having run two fair races in France before running poorly on soft ground last time out. Best watched after a short absence.
Sir Percy colt who cost 62,000gns as a yearling. A half-brother to a couple of winners but trainer not prolific for first time out winners.
Oasis Dream colt who cost 420,000gns as a yearling and is out of a mare who won three Listed race. Clearly well-bred and holds leading claims.
Nathaniel filly with not too much class to speak of on the dam's side, though she is a half-sister to a Danish winner. Represents a top trainer.
Bated Breath filly, a half-sister to a couple of Listed winners/placed horses. Fair pedigree but looks to be the stable's second string based on jockey bookings.
Yet to beat a single horse home in fields of six and 12 and beaten 13L and 55L in two races so far. Seems to have very little chance.
Has played only a minor role in two maidens so far, including on the AW at Kempton last time out. Needs to take a big step forward in order to get involved here.
Forecasts
Majboor (9/4), Sanam (4/1), Monsieur Bay (5/1), Frown (11/2), Michigan (10/1), Lunar Mist (12/1), Nevalyashka (14/1), Beast (14/1), Al Kout (16/1), Nagamaat (66/1)
Majboor has been knocking at the door in similar races to this but he's already had plenty of chances and preference is for SANAM. This son of Oasis Dream has a fine pedigree and had a price tag to match, going for 420,000gns as a yearling. In the capable care of Ed Dunlop he is taken to make a winning debut in the hands of PJ McDonald. His stablemate Lunar Mist is another newcomer to note.
- Sanam
- Majboor
- Lunar Mist
