Maiden but placed in all three hurdle starts including course and distance handicap when last seen finishing second of nine. Lightly raced so should improve further and looks a contender here.
Won at the fifth time of asking in a maiden hurdle at Lingfield when last seen. Upped in trip for reappearance and longer trip could well suit so may make light of opening handicap mark.
Gradually improved in three novice hurdles and decent second on reappearance in September at Worcester. Makes handicap bow here but longer trip not sure to be ideal.
Improved on the flat since winning a July 2016 handicap at Uttoxeter. Stamina very much his forte and while he must prove himself off current hurdles mark his flat form offers hope.
Upped to 3m on last start, his first for this trainer and finished a respectable fourth. Still relatively few miles on the clock so could be more to come and expected to make presence felt on reappearance.
Now with his third trainer and lightly raced for one his age. Second in first of three starts for last trainer but disappointed next twice so questions to answer for new yard.
Maiden hurdler put up best effort to date on handicap debut last month when upped significantly in trip. Stayed on into second there so big player off same mark with a further step up likely to suit.
On the go throughout the summer and won a handicap at Newton Abbot. Stays well and now just 1lb higher but below par since that win and likes rattling fast ground.
Run well in five starts to date for this yard, all over fences. This trip should suit well and recent form suggest there is mileage in current mark.
Won three times since switched to this yard. Ran well again over 2m5f here latest when second of 10. 7lb higher here and handicapper may finally have caught up with him.
Maiden of 14 starts, 11 for this yard. Handicap continues to slide and champion jockey again booked although he hasn't had desired effect in two previous rides.
Eleven starts for current yard without success and beaten 40L on reappearance. Ought to strip fitter now and handicap continues to fall but others make more appeal.
Well beaten in all six races under rules although lone effort he was close to competitive was in lone 3m run so today's trip (generally campaigned at 2m4f) should suit better.
Forecasts
Arthur Mc Bride (3/1), This Is It (5/1), Western Wave (11/2), Champagne To Go (8/1), Rio Bravo (17/2), King Uther (9/1), Eddy (12/1), Fraser Canyon (12/1), David John (14/1), Quinto (16/1), Our Folly (28/1), The Greenvet (40/1), All Kings (50/1)
The lone mare in the field CHAMPAGNE TO GO can strike a blow for the fairer sex here. Kim Bailey's charge showed improved form upped to 2m5f last suit and should be better still over today's trip so could prove well handicapped on the same mark. King Uther is another at the start of his handicapping career who could improve now stepped up in trip. Top-weight This Is It should continue to improve this season and his first hurdles success is surely just round the corner.
- Champagne To Go
- King Uther
