Cost €42,000 as a three-year-old with several useful relations in the pedigree and must be of interest for a yard that has a 23% strike-rate in this sphere in the last five years.
Despite making some appeal on pedigree this Mahler gelding comes from a stable that make impact in this sphere; best watched for now.
Yard have yet to have a bumper winner (0/16) and despite some winning relations a watching brief is advised here.
From a good jumping family with a fair few winners in his pedigree with his yard being worthy of respect in this sphere. Yard yet to have a bumper winner this season (0/3) but have a 20% strike-rate over the past five years.
Worthy of a second look coming from a stable that are capable in this sphere with the right material although they are 0/6 this season in bumpers. May be best watched unless the market indicates otherwise.
The dam's side of the pedigree contains winners and plenty of potential but the yard have a very poor record in bumpers (1/65). Market may prove useful in assessing the prospects of this one.
Cost €45,000 as a three-year-old with the dam an unraced half-sister to fairly useful 2m hurdle/chase winner Charlton Kings. Yard have a reasonable record in this type of event and interesting.
Only cost £2,500 as a two-year-old and with the yard not one of the leading ones in this sphere the suspicion is that they will be others who are stronger in this.
Yard are getting better and better as a whole and are always to be respected in this sphere. The pedigree of this one makes some appeal and he may well be one to watch in the market.
Out of a lightly-raced dam who achieved little and with the stable having a modest record in this she's best watched on her debut.
First bumper winner of the season for a yard that are 0/13 in bumpers in the last five years. Makes little appeal on pedigree and can only be watched here.
Half-sister to a staying chase winner while the dam was also a bumper winner. Yard are always to be respected in this sphere and the jockey booking takes the eye with market support expected.
Forecasts
Barley Hill (4/1), Luck Of The Legion (9/2), Mind Your Back (5/1), Doctor Dex (6/1), Dr Wells (8/1), Soul Man (10/1), Strong Glance (12/1), Eaton Miller (14/1), Commanche Red (16/1), Golden Esther (16/1), Dancing Doug (20/1), Gloi (25/1)
Nothing to go on here with none of the field having run under Rules before and it makes this a bit of a guessing game. Barley Hill is worthy of a mention given that the yard’s bumper horses are going well at the moment and he runs for the same owners that are represented by stable star Barters Hill. Doctor Dex has a decent pedigree although the yard have yet to have a bumper winner this year with Strong Glance also respected from a yard with a good bumper record this year. The vote goes to LUCK OF THE LEGION for a combination that are well versed in success in his sphere with Mind Your Back and Dr Wells also in the mix.
- Luck Of The Legion
- Barley Hill
- Strong Glance
