The winner of his his only point-to-point, he showed a fair level of ability in novice and handicaps hurdles and was a winner at this track. Makes his chasing debut and has to be given serious consideration.
Landed a couple of hurdles contests at the back end of last year, but was beaten a long way in a handicap when last seen in February. Leading stable yet to hit peak form, but he is certainly worth checking for market support.
Won a Plumpton maiden hurdle in January and ran a solid race when last seen in a handicap at Sandown in April. Goes chasing after just five starts over timber and has to be respected given his connections.
Completed a hat-trick in novice hurdles at the start of this year and was not disgraced in a red-hot Grade 1 contest at the Punchestown Festival on her final outing of last season. She also makes her chasing debut in a first-time tongue tie.
Forecasts
Born Survivor (4/6), The Nipper (3/1), Kings Walk (11/2), Eamon An Cnoic (11/1)
There may only be four runners, but there is plenty of interest in a novice chase which could throw up a nice prospect. Eamon An Cnoic and Kings Walk were rated inferior over hurdles to Born Survivor, but this is a completely different discipline and any of the three could prevail. Each of them will do well to concede weight to THE NIPPER, however. She ran a sound race behind some highly-regarded sorts at the Punchestown Festival and can win this under the champion jockey in receipt of weight from her rivals.
- The Nipper
- Born Survivor
- Kings Walk
