French import who had the useful Dreamcatching 10L behind on her hurdling debut at Auteuil a year ago. The winner Duca De Thaix has since made a big money move to Gigginstown so the form is solid. From a yard that does well here with it's hurdlers.
French Flat winner who showed little aptitude for hurdling last winter. Has the benefit of a recent spin at Chelmsford but hard to see her figuring.
Related to several winner including Amber Brook who has done well for this yard. Showed promise on her bumper debut but two runs since, including her hurdling debut, have been mediocre. Stable going well and will be hoping for better on this ground.
Tailed off on all three starts at lengthy odds and impossible to recommend on current available evidence.
Impressive when beating Ginge de Sophia 15L in the Newbury mud on debut. Less effective on quicker ground next time and her hurdling debut was a weak effort.
Tailed off in two ordinary bumpers and cheekpieces fitted for her hurdling debut. If the aids get her to settle better there is plenty of room for improvement.
Looked green in each of her bumpers but has a nice pedigree being out of a dam who won six races for this yard and whose sister landed this in 2012. Sure to have been well schooled and no surprise to see her play a leading role.
Clear signs of ability last season and sets the standard with an official rating of 114. Looked in need of a break when a disappointing odds-on favourite and there is a race of this nature to be won with her.
Making her hurdling debut having showed some ability in bumpers. Stable have made a low key start to the season (1-30) and the market will be instructive.
Weak in the market when down the field on her bumper debut. Her dam won a maiden hurdle and this one may need more time before following suit.
Impressive winner of what looked a poor maiden point-to-point but placed in two summer bumpers for current yard following her subsequent £10,000 sale. Has fitness on her side and stable have made a good start to the campaign.
Winner of three races on the Flat but the last of those came in 2015. A current Flat rating in the mid 50s would indicate she is up against it.
Forecasts
Dame De Compagnie (4/9), Phoeniciana (11/2), Passing Call (7/1), Tangoed (11/1), Lady Mix (16/1), Ginge de Sophia (22/1), Rouergate (25/1), Scented Lily (25/1), Deduce (66/1), Weardiditallgorong (66/1), Min Tiky (100/1), Kikimora (200/1)
Nicky Henderson has found an excellent opportunity for DAME DE COMPAGNIE to make a successful seasonal bow. Her French hurdling form suggests she could be above average and this is not a strong event. Tangoed and Rouergate make their hurdling debuts for good yards and with the benefit of recent outings and the market should be informative. Lady Mix and Ginge De Sophia were 15L apart in a Newbury bumper last winter but neither showed much sparkle on their recent hurdling debuts. Passing Call may be a bigger threat given her pedigree and with her stable going well. Phoeniciana needed her first run last season, but sets a reasonable standard, and she would be even more interesting if the market signals were positive.
