A 525,000 gns half-brother to three winners, including smart winner up to 1m1f Patentar, also winning sprinter. Makes debut aged four and has to be closely monitored.
Son of Rip Van Winkle is a half-brother to the Listed-placed Signposted, didn't show much on sole outing for previous yard over 1m at Windsor in July. Stable bow and plenty to prove.
200,000 gns yearling by Zoffany out of Glympse, decent effort in 1m Chelmsford maiden on second start in May and off since. Should have more to come and likely player in this field.
A 125,000 gns son of High Chapparal, he made a good start last month in similar contest at Lingfield when close up in third over this trip. Any improvement on that will entitle him to solid claims.
0/17 overall and no better, and perhaps a little bit worse, on stable debut in handicap company last time. Has it all to do now back in a maiden.
Roderic O'connor filly who dam was an unraced half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Baqah. Market can guide on debut run.
A 40,000 gns Iffraaj filly, she is a half-sister to several winners, including winner up to 7f Winter Rose. Respected yard ensures she is considered despite presence of some promising sorts in opposition for this debut outing.
Well fended off in sole outing in France in July 2016. Makes return after 473 days for new handler and watching brief looks safest option for now.
Second foal by Foxwedge out of Positivity, cost 20,000 gns as a yearling. Finished last of eight in 6f maiden at this track on debut last month and plenty to work on going up in distance.
Forecasts
Francis Xavier (11/10), Al Galayel (9/4), Khamry (5/1), Li Mei (8/1), Acker Bilk (20/1), Lady Sundew (50/1), Port Soif (100/1), Olimar (100/1), Highfield Lass (125/1)
FRANCIS XAVIER made a fairly solid start at Lingfield despite some signs of greenness and, with normal improvement, should be going very close here. He sets the clear standard on form, with Al Galayel most interesting off a break from the remainder with experience. Newcomers Khamry and Li Mei have clear potential on paper, so any market support for either will be worthy of note.
- Francis Xavier
