€28,000 two-year old by Raven's Pass is a half-brother to three winners at up to 7f including two on AW. Trainer 25 per cent with AW two-year olds so market a good guide to his chance.
Beaten 12L on debut before 13L defeat here last time upped to 7f (appeared not to stay). Now gelded and blinkered and need one of those to have significant impact to feature.
Ran reasonably on debut back in May but not beaten a rival in three races since. Back from a layoff in a first time tongue-tie. Question marks over ability.
€3,000 yearling by Approve is a half-sister to two winners over up to 1m, both won on AW as did dam over 6f and 7f. Trainer's first two-year old this season so best watched here.
Unplaced in three turf maidens from 6f to 1m all on heavy ground. Showed a bit of pace early over 6f last time so on a quicker surface over the minimum trip here she ought to fare better.
€30,000 two-year old by Choisir, half-sister to 6f AW two-year old winner Disprove out of a speedy well related dam. Trainer had 11 two-year old runners this season, all unplaced so hard to fancy here.
€22,000 yearling by Dutch Art, half-sister to two 6f winners out of a winning sprinter. Trainer had a two-year old AW winner from just three runners and leading jockey booked so deserves respect.
Forecasts
It's Two O Clock (4/9), Rachel Ruysch (9/2), Optional Necessity (8/1), Patrice's Wish (9/1), Camacho Dancer (14/1), Cats Approval (33/1), Khwarizmi (40/1)
Those with previous experience have achieved little so far so the debutants won't need to be anything special to win this. The market will be informative about the newcomers but on paper the duo of IT'S TWO O CLOCK and Rachel Ruysch make the most appeal. Ger Lyons has had a fine year and his gelding gets the nod. The booking of Pat Smullen would suggest Rachel Ruysch is expected to go well also. Of those with form Optional Necessity would appear the best with this surface likely more suitable than heavy ground on turf.
