Has won two of his four chases at up to 3m and although he has yet to prove that he gets this trip, the likelihood is that he will. Acts well on good ground and put in a decent effort at Uttoxeter last time from this mark. Claims.
Placed in four of his seven starts, though remains a maiden. Best hurdles run was at Wetherby (3m, good) in the spring. Was entitled to need his latest run after a break and will be well prepped for this chase debut. Market check advised.
Improving gelding who signed off over hurdles with a 6L win at Huntingdon in the spring (3m1f, good) and returned to make a nice chase debut at Worcester (2m7f, good) last month when beaten just 3L. Up 7lb but not ruled out.
Irish point-to-point winner who bettered anything he achieved over hurdles when sent chasing at Kelso (2m7½f, good) last time. Raised 12lb for that, however, so will need further improvement to have a say again.
Forecasts
Court King (7/4), The Happy Chappy (15/8), Quietly (3/1), An Laoch (7/1)
Interesting and at the same a potentially trappy contest here, where the suggestion on his chasing debut is QUIETLY, who should be well schooled and will strip fitter for a recent comeback run over hurdles. Court King has to be feared as a dual chase winner already, while both The Happy Chappy and An Laoch cannot be ruled out, though will need to improve to win it.
- Quietly
- Court King
- The Happy Chappy
