Played up before winning a Listed race by 1L at Newmarket over a mile (showed good attitude in the race) but has disappointed twice since in better company. 1/1 over C&D (won this last year) though and has a good record on this surface and this is her level.

Winner of a German Listed race (7f, soft) in August she's never won on this surface but appears to act on it. Possibly not best placed at Ascot last time out again over 7f she faded late on there and this trip may test her in this company.

From a stable that have had a good year but surely flying to high here having been well beaten when trying this grade last time out. All her best form is in handicaps and the balance of her form she faces a stiff task here.

Showed her best form this year when winning a Meydan Group 2 on turf and she's been highly tried in all three starts since. Placed on the AW twice at the same track and looked in need of run last time; could take a step forward here.

A triple course winner (twice over C&D) she clearly acts well on this surface but all her form is in handicaps and she falls short of the mark in this grade. Comes here on the back of a rare below-par effort and looks outclassed.

Tongue-tie goes on for the first-time on this dual C&D winner who hasn't looked at her best this year. Well beaten on her last two starts in Listed class and faces an uphill battle once again.

Visor (worn the last twice) is now left off and she didn't run badly back on the AW last time having looked to be going the wrong way the time before. Still has something to find at this level with the majority of these though.

Hasn't really lived up to the promise she showed as juvenile for Richard Fahey for this yard and this class looked to find her out last time over 7f on soft (just behind Pirouette). Trip and grade look to test her credentials here and others preferred.

Won a couple of reasonable handicaps this year for a yard that have had another cracking season. Her two runs since her last win though have been poor and she looks to have a tough test on her hands here; temperamental.

Certainly worth a try in this grade having won a Redcar (has a good record there) handicap off a mark of 95 last time. Often goes from the front and shows a good attitude and will be dangerous if she gets free on the lead.

Proved herself at Listed and Group 3 level in France winning at this level earlier in the year over a mile. Given a break after that run and hasn't really been seen at her best since although Group 1 company last time was asking too much.

Put a poor run behind her last time out when winning on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton in a handicap. Not tried at this level before though and it probably asks a little too much of one who can be a little inconsistent.

Forecasts

Muffri'Ha (7/2), Promising Run (4/1), Pirouette (5/1), Melesina (5/1), Khamaary (6/1), Zest (10/1), Belle Meade (14/1), Somethingthrilling (20/1), Rinaria (25/1), Favourite Royal (25/1), Simply Me (25/1), Mia Tesoro (33/1)

Verdict

The usual mix at this level of proven performers and pretenders who are trying to step up out of handicaps. It may be best to stay with MUFFRI'HA who won this last year and is proven at this level for a stable that have won this now twice in five years. The main danger appears to come from Promising Run who will appreciate a return to this surface after needing the run on ground that was too soft at Goodwood last time out. Khamaary deserves her chance at this level having won a relatively competitive handicap off 95 last time out although she still has something to find and Melesina would be interesting if she came back to form. Pirouette and Somethingthrilling look to be the best of the remainder albeit they face a tough test here.
