Landed a Tramore maiden hurdle 16 months ago but has only had one race in the past year. Likely to need this and still to prove his effectiveness on this surface.
Winner of 2-18 and seems better suited to summer ground as proven on his last three outings.
Has attracted support in recent outings and not out of this judged on her Limerick third. Will have needed her latest run after a layoff and represents a yard whose hurdlers go well here. Rider having first mount in public.
Just a 1-20 record but likes to race prominently and this rider knows him well. Should be better for his return to action last month and his mark is becoming more attractive.
Winner over fences here in February and should be better for his reappearance last month. Effective in this discipline but not one that always finds as much as expected off the bridle.
1-26 record with that victory coming at Tramore in June when adopting his usual positive tactics. Goes well for this rider and he should be thereabouts from this mark.
Off the track for more than a year but goes well around here and not badly treated if ready for return. High profile amateur on board so worth checking in the market.
Has run well in defeat when supported in the past. Has left the impression there are races to be won with her from around this mark. Rider landed a bumper for this yard two weeks ago and worth checking for positive signs in the ring.
Yet to trouble the judge in 10 starts and hard to see her adding to her stable's good record around here.
Should be fitter than most in this and appeared to be peaking when fourth last time. Made a couple of crucial errors when closing and an obvious contender if jumping better this time.
Has stuck to his task well on his two most recent starts at Downpatrick. Races off an identical mark and should go close again under an experienced rider who is good value for his claim.
Not beaten far last time but the form may not be reliable and his previous efforts were less encouraging.
Off the track two years and wears a hood on return. Top amateur booked and could be considered well handicapped if fully tuned for this.
Beaten more than 40L in 2m4½f maiden hurdle at Sligo in August. Has a stiff task if to land this contest on handicap bow
Appeared to be going the right way on penultimate start but disappointing since on softer ground. That would have to be the concern here.
Has shown nothing over hurdles to suggest she will be anything other than a supporting player in this contest.
Went well here on penultimate start but that run also suggested he is better on quicker ground and may need a shorter trip. Has a capable rider on board but last of 15 six weeks ago and remains hard to fancy.
Forecasts
Oisin James (4/1), Cottonvale (6/1), Lets High Five It (6/1), Presentingoscar (8/1), De Benno (10/1), Nerual (12/1), Naturally Blond (12/1), Rancher Lass (12/1), Good To Flow (16/1), Something Sweet (16/1), Battling Spirit (16/1), Kilcaragh Boy (16/1), Grandads Choice (16/1), Just Call Me (20/1), Hanover Street (25/1), Pound A Stroke (25/1), Get It Back (50/1)
This looks a race where Presentingoscar and COTTONVALE look the ones to concentrate on given their proven fitness and current levels of form. Preference is for the latter as he looks the better jumper and his rider is excellent value for his claim. Battling Spirit, Oisin James and Good To Flow are to be noted in the market, whilst Nerual is probably better than her form looks and is a potential improver.
- Cottonvale
- Presentingoscar
- Nerual
