Showed a willing attitude to land a minor novice chase at Tramore before finishing in mid-division over hurdles three weeks ago. Not really built to carry big weights in ground as soft as this and others are more appealing.
Consistent enough but a 1-18 record shows he is hard to win with and the handicapper is not making things any easier.
Yet to threaten an imminent victory but makes his handicap debut off a mark which would make this 30,000 gns purchase interesting if supported in pre-race trading.
Winner at Cork in March when trainer disclosed she would improve over further than this. Handles plenty of give and should be all the better for her latest start at Ballinrobe.
Is still to deliver the goods and arrives on the back of two tame performances on the Flat. Others look much stronger.
Well beaten in three completed starts over hurdles and there have been few positive signs. Needs to improve considerably.
Record of 1-31 and last five starts have been particularly poor. Mark is beginning to drop accordingly but he is difficult to enthuse over.
Three best efforts have come over 2m4f including two efforts at the Listowel festival. Looked one paced over this trip last time, although the ground will be slower here.
Less exposed than many in this and had shown promise under a conditional rider prior to today's pilot taking the reins last time on handicap debut. Hood goes on and she is a potential improver.
Well beaten in three maiden hurdle outings and similar stuff in last month's handicap bow at Punchestown (2m1f, good). Tough to recommend on first run for over three months.
Responded to positive tactics at Down Royal on stable debut before blowing the start and pulling up at Thurles last month. One to consider if overlooking her quirks.
Tailed off on last four completed starts over hurdles and handicapper is reacting slowly to her apparent limitations.
Showed some ability in 2015 prior to a two year absence which has seen a drop in form. Last run was a backward step and the new headgear combination needs to produce significant improvement.
Winning point-to-pointer who produced his best effort over hurdles at Thurles three weeks ago. A 0-17 record makes it hard to predict if he will run to that level again but an obvious player if he does.
Well beaten on last start in a handicap hurdle and likely to need this after a six month absence from the track.
Forecasts
Tintown Robin (4/1), Queen Khaleesi (9/2), Persian Wind (5/1), Loch Luatha (8/1), Sunset Sadie (8/1), Jessicor (10/1), Fairy Court (11/1), Tizme (14/1), Muroor (16/1), Its Only A Dream (16/1), Timanora (16/1), Shantelle (16/1), Pump Road (33/1), Lizzies Way (33/1), Presenting Champ (33/1)
It is not easy to be positive about many of these but QUEEN KHALESI has been running well lately and the softer ground may bring her stamina into play. Persian Wind is also in form but may find his big weight an anchor on this ground. Loch Luatha produced a big run from out of the blue last time and if that is reproduced here he would have a big say in the outcome.
- Queen Khaleesi
- Persian Wind
- Loch Luatha
