Has stepped up in trip in each of his three starts, and based on breeding this could prove his optimum trip. Beaten just over 6L when fourth to fellow Godolphin owned runner Deyaarna over C&D latest. Handicap debut.

€300,000 foal by Frankel. Much better despite a tardy start when upped to an extended mile at Nottingham latest (maiden), finishing just under 2L fourth to Msayyan. Up in trip once more for AW and Handicap debut.

Forced wide on his handicap debut at Lingfield earlier this month (1m), and was never able to get on terms in finishing seventh of 12 to Motabassim. Clearly not abundantly talented, but worth a try over this extra yardage tonight.

Plenty of experience, and did okay on her nursery debut at Salisbury in August when finishing less than 1L third to El Borracho (1m good). Seemingly bogged down in the mud at Pontefract latest, and so makes her AW debut.

Beaten narrowly in more than one of his last three starts, and the visor hasn't quite had the desired effect just yet. However, clearly handles synthetics (Tapeta), so couldn't be ruled out completely if staying this extra two furlongs.

Off the mark (over C&D) at the sixth attempt when upped in trip last week; beating Masters Apprentice by a comfortable 2L. Penalised, but such was the visually impressive display offered, that's neither here nor there, and surely thereabouts.

Finished behind the third placed Far Dawn on his handicap debut at Bath in August (1m good), and returns to action off a short break for his AW debut. Goes beyond 1m for the first time, so stamina an unknown.

Kept on well from off the pace, but no threat to cosy winner Rustang over C&D last week. That winner carries a 6lb penalty, so better off at the weights, but will need to show further improvement in order to reverse placings.

Forecasts

Baghdad (7/4), Falcon Eye (4/1), Rustang (9/2), Sauchiehall Street (13/2), Deadly Reel (7/1), Masters Apprentice (7/1), Ashington (10/1), Far Dawn (14/1), King Athelstan (20/1), Mr Large (33/1)

Verdict

A couple of these runners were winners last week and turn out quickly under a penalty rather than waiting to be reassessed. RUSTANG was visually impressive in beating tonight's rival Masters Apprentice by 2L over C&D seven days ago. He has a 6lb penalty to carry tonight, but this longer trip has proved the making of him, and he's fancied to confirm those placings. Of the others, Baghdad should relish tackling this longer trip, with his recent Nottingham form (1m) reading fairly well, whilst this is a much stronger contest for Kempton winner Sauchiehall Street.
  1. Rustang
  2. Baghdad
  3. Masters Apprentice
