The only contender in the field to have previous scored over hurdles, he has struggled under a penalty the last twice including in a competitive affair at Fontwell last time out, but should find things easier here and his experience is useful.

Slightly underwhelming on hurdling debut at Exeter last time out having won his bumper back in May 2016. Probably lacked a fitness edge there and an improved showing can be expected.
Winning point-to-pointer but has failed to build on that victory now under rules, having been well-beaten in two bumpers and a novice hurdle last time out. Makes little appeal even in this weak-looking affair.

Beaten only a neck at 100/1 at Exeter last time out having shown little on hurdling debut at Newton Abbot last month. Clear of Challico on that occasion but needs to prove the form can be trusted.
17 race maiden on the Flat who has been beaten 33L and 54L in two starts over hurdles so far. Looks to hold little chance even in this less competitive heat.

Verdict

A lot of this rests on a recent race where Rocket Ronnie was second at a huge price with CHALLICO back in fourth. It's difficult to tell if that form is fully reliable, with the short-priced favourite beaten into third, and Paul Nicholls' representative is taken to reverse form here. His reopposing rival did impress on that occasion given his price and was clearly underrated in the market. Now with a run under his belt to aid his fitness, the selection can build on the promise shown when winning a bumper last year and get his head back in front. Rasasee is the only one of these to have won over hurdles so far and also needs considering under a penalty.
