Winner of six 5f races and competes here off his last winning mark. Shaped better than the bare result suggested on his recent reappearance from a year on the sidelines at Kempton (6f), so dangerous to dismiss.

Three times a winner early in his career and had been in decent form prior to a poor run at Bath (5f, soft) last time. More in favour now but the losing streak continues to build.

Disappointing in the main this season including when ninth of 12 over 6f at Kempton last month. Well-handicapped on her best form but couldn't be backed with confidence right now.

Not shown all that much ability in six starts thus far, but should be stronger for a couple of recent runs on the AW following a six month spell on the sidelines. Drops in trip with a change of headgear.

All three victories have come over this C&D and his current rating is only 2lb above his last winning mark. Good effort to finish second over 6f on the fibresand at Southwell latest and looks shortlist material here.

Sole success came in an AW maiden over 5f at Newcastle last September. Gradually slipping down the weights but neither cheekpieces nor a visor have sparked improvement of late. Needs to step things up.

Visor seemed to have made a difference with two runner-up efforts earlier in the year and a decent run at Chelmsford. Not sighted for over eight months though and cheekpieces tried now.

No win machine, as a record of just 3 wins from 48 starts show and she is 0 from 8 on the AW. Decent enough effort over 6f at Chelmsford last time but others look better handicapped.

Managed to win on the AW at the start of the year over 6f at Kempton but has regressed since and is now rated 9lb lower. Never on terms at Windsor last time and others look more likely.

A 26 race maiden who was well held over an extended 5f at Bath on her last three starts. Likely to struggle once again, having failed to get competitive in three previous AW starts.

Verdict

C&D specialist Tasaaboq has dropped back to a workable mark and suggested his time was again near when finishing a runner-up at Southwell last time. That said, STORM LIGHTNING ran well for a long way on his belated reappearance at Kempton last month and, with that run under his belt, it would be no surprise if he found the necessary improvement to notch a maiden 6f victory. Zenovia and Mr Michael look the most interesting of the remainder.

  3. Mr Michael
