Has improved with each run, readily opening his account in a 1m maiden auction at Lingfield last month. Opening handicap mark looks reasonable and is an obvious player with further improvement likely.
Off the mark at the fifth time of asking over 7f at Kempton in a four runner contest last time out. Was all out to win that day and not obviously well-treated for his handicap bow, though longer trip may elicit improvement.
Expensive son of Dark Angel who hasn't looked like winning in three starts but has offered a fair bit of encouragement, most recently over 1m2f. Very much respected on his nursery debut in first-time cheekpieces.
Best effort from five starts when a close third in a maiden at Nottingham (1m, good to soft) earlier this month. Took a step backwards over the same C&D last time and but opening mark looks fair.
Showed little in his first two starts but took a leap forward when third over 1m at Carlisle (heavy) last month. More to come now going handicapping but still has a fair bit to prove on a faster surface.
Decent effort when fourth over 7f at Newmarket (good) on his second start but hasn't gone on from that in two subsequent runs. Others make more appeal as he makes a nursery debut in a first-time tongue-tie.
Bits and pieces of promise in five starts for Mick Channon and was claimed by this yard after finishing second in a 7f seller at Leicester (good to soft) last month. Up in trip and class now.
Forecasts
Dream Mount (11/8), La La Land (5/2), Iconic Sunset (4/1), Dr Richard Kimble (12/1), Calling Rio (22/1), Still Got It (22/1), Ruby's Gem (40/1)
A field made up entirely of nursery debutants, so the market is likely to prove informative. There was plenty to like about the manner of Dream Mount's recent Lingfield win and Marco Botti's colt should continue to progress but LA LA LAND takes the eye off an opening mark of 73. Being a $165,000 son of Dark Angel, Jamie Osborne's colt is bred to be a fair bit better than this level and it would be no surprise if he was to leave his maiden form behind in first-time cheekpieces. Recent Kempton winner Iconic Sunset is also respected over a longer trip.
