Back over hurdles after an unsuccessful stint over fences. Probably needed the race when weakening on the flat to finish fifth of seven to Quarenta at Warwick earlier this month (2m5f good). High in the weights, but not discounted.
Won a bumper on good ground on debut for Pam Sly, but raced mainly with cut thereafter. Made all to score by 7L at Warwick in March (2m novices hurdle soft), but well beaten in a much stronger contest on her final start last term.
Made all to score by 9L (from Norse Light) in a 2m1f Amateur Riders contest at Exeter last week, and is turned out quickly under a penalty over a longer trip seeking to follow up. Should go close.
A consistent sort in novice hurdles over the latter half of the summer, but his mark has taken a hit and he is probably a fraction high at present. Likely to run his race, but needs to do more now back handicapping.
Based with Stuart Crawford when winning a Perth bumper on debut in September 2016, but has since moved onto this high profile yard, winning over hurdles at Ludlow (2m good) in April. Makes her handicap debut and seasonal reappearance.
Stablemate of Cave Top. Has had various trainers including Charlie Mann and most latterly Dan Skelton. Off the track since December 2015, he returns to action easing in the weights for a fast emerging young trainer.
Won just once in ten attempts over hurdles, but did get his head in front on the Flat at Ffos Las in July (1m6f). Backed out of contention from the final hurdle at Wincanton latest (2m good) and dropped 2lb accordingly.
An eight race maiden who hasn't beaten a single rival in either of his last two starts, including as recently as last Thursday at Carlisle (2m1f heavy).
An improved performer who arrives seeking the hat-trick following October victories at Warwick (2m) and Worcester (2m4f). Up 8lb for her latest success, but clearly an honest and reliable mare, so much respected.

An interesting contest, and a race which will throw up more than it's fair share of future winners. Milan Of Crystal arrives seeking a hat-trick, and whilst this represents a much tougher assignment, she's proved herself as an improving mare, so deserves much respect. The likes of Grand Turina, War Creation and Argent Knight have all of the required attributes to be successful in handicap company over hurdles, and it's still early days in this grade for that trio of horses. However, the claims of last week's Exeter winner CAVE TOP are all too obvious, and whilst he has extra yardage to gallop over this afternoon, he shouldn't have any real troubles at this much less demanding track, and is capable of doubling up for Oliver Greenall.
