In form with victories either side of refusing to race at Worcester in August. Up 7lb for her latest narrow success at Uttoxeter in September (2m7f+), but led in at the start latest can only be recommended with confidence as an in-running play.

Lightly raced under rules, this mare has been absent since finishing just over 4L third to Very Extravagant at Uttoxeter in May 2016 (2m7f+ good). She has the scope to progress in handicaps, but is likely far stronger with a run under her belt.

Has a collection of letters amongst his more recent form figures, but there are also some respectable showings dotted about. Not beaten far when a runner up at Ffos Las in April (2m6f good), but poor on his recent seasonal return at Exeter.

Made a much improved handicap debut at Southwell in March (2m4f soft) when 3¼L second to Early Retirement, but disappointing the following week from the same mark. 6lb higher now and back for her seasonal debut. Certainly not one to discount.

A seven race maiden who has fallen 12lb in the weights since switched to handicaps. Well beaten by Pearlita when trying a longer trip at Uttoxeter latest, and returns to action wearing a first time tongue tie.

Has offered relatively little under rules since winning a 3m Borris House point-to-point in December 2016, but in all fairness isn't fully exposed in handicaps by any means, and could do better with more experience in this grade.

An eight race maiden. Both of his starts in handicap company (2m3½f) have come at this track, and he's fallen 6lb for finishing fourth of eight and seventh of ten. More needed on his seasonal return now upped in trip. Tongue tied.

Not won since October 2015 (2m5f at Fontwell), and back over hurdles after an unproductive recent spell over fences. No chance from so far out of the weights.

Forecasts

Pennywell (7/2), Sauvignon (4/1), Pearlita (5/1), Clondaw Rigger (5/1), Sidsteel (7/1), Coole Charmer (7/1), Walter Oneeightone (8/1), Tribal Dance (125/1)

Verdict

A race which makes little appeal for punting purposes with question marks against the form horse Pearlita. She'll probably go close despite a 7lb rise in the weights for her Uttoxeter success if electing to jump off with the others. However, as her participation is a major doubt, she could only be advised as an in-running play, and without the advantage of that knowledge, the selection is SAUVIGNON. She showed improvement on her handicap debut at Southwell in March, and the race might have come a shade too quickly for her when disappointing just eight days later. However, she returns fresh for a trainer who has enjoyed a productive summer, and despite being 6lb higher now, she probably hasn't reached her full potential just yet.
