Drops in class here and that should help him as he hasn't (as yet) matched his winning hurdles form over fences. He should have come on for his recent Bangor run where he looked to need the race and respected here.
Stable look to be in good form of late having brought a few horses back to win off breaks. Won over hurdles at Wetherby and followed up that win with a couple of good efforts so expected to take hand here back over fences.
Showed a very good attitude to win at Carlisle in April but failed to match that form in a couple of outings since. Looked to have been ridden too forcefully last time out though he probably needed the run and better expected here.
His form looks to have regressed since he won five consecutive races last year. Has on occasions hinted at a revival but overall looks one to leave alone.
A run back over hurdles in March saw this winning chaser regain the winning thread although he's not always been the best of jumpers over fences. Failed to get involved on his recent comeback and best watched for now.
A change of headgear is now tried on this one who has looked a awkward customer on plenty of occasions now. Looks far from a natural chaser and often gets behind before flattering at the death.
Took a hunter chase around this course over further back in April but failed to build on that run in two subsequent starts both at this track. Now returns from a break in handicap company and others make more appeal.
Returned from a long absence recently and showed very little and with more letters than numbers in the form figures he's best watched here.
Not been seen for a while now and looks to be the second string from the stable who showed his best for at Cartmel last summer in two placed efforts. Yard have brought horses back successfully from breaks of late so watch in the market.
Makes his handicap debut here having shown his only real form in a Hexham novice having failed to score in point-to-point company. This looks to be a tough task even off a lowly mark.
Came back to form from totally out of the blue at Hexham in the summer winning a weak 2m4f event. Since then he's been more miss than hit and that would be the call here.
No doubt that he is well handicapped on his old form but ages since he's shown that sort of sparkle and best watched in this from out of the handicap.
10lb out of the handicap and with a losing run that stretches back to May 2016 there are a few that make more appeal in this.
Remains a maiden and has often failed to complete the course with his last four efforts resulting in being pulled-up. Makes his debut for this yard but is 15lb out of the handicap.
Another who is miles out of the weights having shown very little of late and looks temperamental to boot; best left alone.
Forecasts
Kilronan Castle (3/1), Doktor Glaz (4/1), Attention Please (5/1), Havana Jack (9/1), Achill Road Boy (11/1), Allez Cool (12/1), Kalastar (18/1), Mo Rouge (18/1), Whatsthestoryman (20/1), Notonebuttwo (33/1), French Seventyfive (33/1), Formidableopponent (33/1), Thedfactor (33/1), Top Cat Dj (66/1), Coote Street (100/1)
Not that many make much appeal in this low-grade contest and there are more questions than answers about most of the field. KILRONAN CASTLE comes from a yard in good form and drops in grade here so he’s given the nod over the two Rose Dobbin representatives Doktor Glaz and Attention Please with the market worth watching on that duo. Allez Cool would have a chance given a better ride than he was last time with that run under his belt and he’s another to throw into the mix.
- Kilronan Castle
- Doktor Glaz
- Attention Please
