Needs to improve on what he did last year when he looked a little lack lustre in his five runs. Prior to that he was progressive in this sphere and now down to a mark he should be able to win off having dropped in the weights.

10/11
Made a solid comeback at Fontwell recently when taking the runner-up slot and certainly a player in this having taken the Grand Sefton over the big fences at Aintree last season. Might be a slight doubt about the trip but put that aside and he's in with a chance here.

Makes his comeback from a break here having only been seen once last season when runner-up here. Has proved himself capable in handicaps before although does have to prove himself over this trip.

Brought back to form by his current yard who have been in good form of late gaining three wins from his most recent starts. His good run of form was very much halted at Market Rasen last time and he needs to bounce back here.

Ash Park153
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-4| J: Sam Coltherd(5)| T: W Coltherd| OR:  125| C
11/2
Has shown some decent form over fences having been successful at Musselburgh in March and despite not winning after that he's continued in good form. Back from a fair absence here but has run well when fresh before but is 4lb out of the handicap here.

Forecasts

As De Mee (10/11), Wakanda (5/2), Ash Park (11/2), The Clock Leary (10/1), Firth Of The Clyde (22/1)

Verdict

The Sue Smith yard are more than capable of getting one ready first time out and now that WAKANDA has dropped down the handicap he has a chance of getting back on the winning trail. As De Mee looks to be the main danger although there is a slight stamina doubt about him as there is with Firth Of The Clyde who generally runs well here. The Clock Leary needs to bounce back from a poor run last time while Ash Park has to overcome an absence and a mark that is out of the handicap.
  1. Wakanda
  2. As De Mee
  3. Firth Of The Clyde
