Carries a penalty for a victory over 7f at Newcastle earlier this week and, all in all, seems to be improving. Was also scheduled to run at Chelmsford Thursday evening, so heavy recent exertions may take a toll.
Won four races on the bounce on the AW last winter (though not here) but has struggled in the main since. For all that, he has dropped back to a winning mark and he displayed better signs at Kempton last time.
An AW winner over 7f at Lingfield 18 months ago for Ed Dunlop but lightly raced since. No evident improvement in three runs for this yard so far and probably best watched until showing more.
Disappointing in her last three starts since placing twice over an extended 1m in May. Mark continues to fall but it's exactly a year since she last had her head in front and she's never won over 7f.
Enjoyed a successful spring, winning on the AW at Kempton and Musselburgh (both over 7f) and bounced back to her best when scoring again over 7f at Kempton earlier this month. May be approaching her ceiling, however, after a 3lb rise.
Victorious in 12 of his 99 starts so far including four times on the AW. Would be a hugely popular winner on his 100th outing but hasn't shown quite enough in just two starts this year to suggest it's likely.
Has moved yards a fair bit, picking up three AW wins and a turf success along the way. Often well-supported and feasibly-treated on his best form but underwhelming for this yard so far. Still dangerous to discount.
Winless in 10 turf starts but has won three times on the AW, including over this C&D in June (3lb lower mark). Lightly-raced since and hinted that his time was again near when a runner-up at Chelmsford last time out.
Sole success from 21 starts came in a 7f claimer at Leicester (good-to-soft) in May. Some fair efforts in handicap company since but found 1m2f beyond him last time. Others appeal more on balance.
Lone win from 16 attempts came over this C&D back in the spring from a just a 1lb lower mark than today's. Has since changed yard's and has shown enough on occasions to suggest he's a threat in this company.

Forecasts
Captain Hawk (2/1), Fire Diamond (11/4), Viola Park (11/2), Jack Blane (10/1), Isntshesomething (11/1), Al's Memory (12/1), Joys Delight (12/1), Mischief Managed (12/1), Little Choosey (14/1), Jet Setter (25/1), Kafoo (33/1), Quiet Warrior (66/1)
A moderate handicap and it's not hard to make a case for the likes of Captain Hawk, Isntshesomething and Jack Blane who look more reliable than most. Preference, however, is for C&D winner VIOLA PARK who hinted that his time was again near when a runner-up in an arguably stronger event at Chelmsford last time out.
