Won a Wolverhampton maiden last year, but three displays this season have not been productive. Handicap mark has dropped 6lb and a leading amateur is booked, so reasons to be enthusiastic.

Both wins in sevens starts have come on the AW, but she is effective on turf as he showed when a good third of 11 at Newmarket last time. Runs off the same mark in a weaker race and looks a major contender.

Maiden over hurdles and on the Flat, but is not without ability in either code. Has been off the track for quite a while and this may be a warm-up for another jumps campaign.

Has failed to win for Tom Dascombe this season and he now tries his luck for a new trainer. No obvious reason why he should end his drought in a competitive handicap such as this.

Verdict

Lots of runners, but not that many one can make a strong case for. The major exception is ICE DANCING, a dual winner on the AW but perfectly able on turf. She ran third in a much better contest at Newmarket last time and a repeat of that display would probably be good enough. Potential dangers include Tomahawk Kid, Rebel Cause and Deeley's Double, while further down the weights Match My Fire catches the eye. Maraakib and Hawridge Glory look the best of the rest.
