Didn't run badly over C&D last time out when finishing fourth in a novice event. Should find things easier back in nursery events and first-time blinkers should bring about further improvement.

Should find this handicap debut less hot than the three novice/maiden events he has run in first time, but still needs to find more in first-time blinkers.

Beaten 10L+ in his three attempts at novice races up to now. Claimer retains the ride but needs to show much more off this opening handicap mark.

Consistent if unremarkable runner who has run two solid races in handicap company so far. Down only 2lb from the most recent of those and may need more help from the handicapper.

Failed to improve on his maiden/novice form on handicap debut last time out when beaten over 10L, and has plenty to do off the same handicap mark.

Hasn't been able to build on a brilliant handicap debut at Leicester three starts ago. Remains at this trip after running just a fair race at Wolverhampton last time out.

Has done most of her racing over 7f but ran well enough over this trip at Leicester last time out. Draw not ideal but holds claims off the same handicap mark.

Put in a poor performance at Redcar last time out but not in bad form prior to that, including when winning at Catterick seller in August. Considered on the basis of that form.

Didn't make her mark on handicap debut at Leicester last time out, when looking no better than when well-beaten in novice and selling company.

Returned to something like her best form from novice events when finishing a good second at Leicester last time out. Slight questions to answer on this surface but sets the standard on that performance.

Up in trip here from handicap debut last time and fitted with a hood which could bring about some improvement, but she's going to need plenty based on what she's shown so far.

Rustang (11/4), Faradays Spark (4/1), Mouchee (5/1), Sauchiehall Street (6/1), Daffrah (7/1), Masters Apprentice (8/1), Tranquil Soul (8/1), Global Angel (12/1), King Athelstan (12/1), Couldn't Could She (14/1), Duggary (16/1), Speed Craft (20/1), Pearl's Calling (33/1), Gembari (33/1), Misty Breese (50/1)

Verdict

Few of these have shown too much so far, but perhaps TRANQUIL SOUL can prove the best. This top-weight ran well over C&D last time out, and a replication of that effort would see him right in the mix for this despite the larger field size. If reappearing it will be interesting to see how Sauciehall Street does under a 6lb penalty after winning at Kempton on Tuesday while Daffrah commands respect after her performance at Leicester last time out.
  1. Tranquil Soul
  2. Sauchiehall Street
  3. Daffrah
