Winner here in May over 6f, sound effort in third of 10 in nursery at Pontefract last month (1m, heavy) and should be in the shake-up off the same mark.
Winner over 6f at Newbury on nursery bow in August (soft), went out like a light last time at Doncaster (6½f, good to soft) but not ruled out on artificial surface for the first time with new cheekpieces added.
Comes here looking for the hat-trick after wins at Chepstow (6f, good to soft) and Windsor (1, good to soft). May progress again but 5lb hike for neck success last time demands it.
Narrow winner over 7f at Sandown in July on good ground. Didn't appear to see out a mile here last month and could go well back down in trip now.
Hasn't really built on debut effort over 5f at Beverley in July on good to firm, but has run in some decent contests since. AW bow at Chelmsford (6f) last time was more encouraging and respected up to 7f for the first time.
Close second of 13 in novice stakes over this trip on AW bow/third start early this month. Makes handicap bow and expected to be in the mix.
Best effort to date came over this trip on good to firm at Musselburgh in August, has to reproduce that now and both efforts since have been well short of what is required. Up in trip.
Forecasts
Di Fede (3/1), Motown Mick (7/2), Barig Al Thumama (7/2), Ghayadh (7/2), Finsbury Park (6/1), The Mums (10/1), Sorority (33/1)
Ghayadh produced his best stuff late on over 6f at Chelmsford and is respected going up in trip while Finsbury Park is also give some claims going in the other direction having failed to get home over a mile last time out. Cheekpieces could see The Mums competitive while previous course winner Di Fede is entitled to be have say on recent evidence. BARIG AL THUMAMA ran well last time out at Chelmsford over this trip and could prove up to a winning debut in this sphere off what doesn't appear a punitive opening handicap mark. His latest ratings hike might be enough to thwart the hat-trick seeking Motown Mick.
- Barig Al Thumama
- Motown Mick
- Ghayadh
