In good form over hurdles in the spring following up a victory at Plumpton (good-to-firm) with a good second at Wincanton (good) in April. Has won on soft ground in the past and has a useful amateur booked to ride.
13 race maiden and running over hurdles when last in action earlier this year. Making his first appearance on the Flat since joining this yard and has a leading amateur rider in the saddle today.

Had just one start since winning over an extended 1m3f at at Bath (soft) in June last year. That outing came when third over 2m at Chelmsford a year ago and she makes her belated seasonal debut today.
Winner on soft ground for Ed Dunlop in October last year and best effort since joining this yard came when runner-up over an extended 2m at Southwell in January. Pulled up last time out and jockey having his first ride under rules today.
Completing a double when winning over 1m2f at Beverley (soft) in September. Has run well twice since including when third over 1m2f at Nottingham (good-to-soft) earlier this month and is one to note in this contest.
Held in handicap company in recent starts including in first time cheekpieces at Haydock (1m4f, heavy) last time out. Blinkers are applied for the first time today.
Finished third over 1m4f at Chepstow (soft) last time out but would probably appreciate further and looks in the grip of the handicapper at present.
Impressive winner over this trip at Yarmouth (soft) on her penultimate outing and ran well when finishing third at Brighton (good-to-soft) over 1m4f subsequently. Has underfoot conditions to suit and is one for the shortlist today.
Won just one of her 28 starts and held over 1m to 1m2f in recent starts but has run well over 1m3f in the past.
Successful 20 times in the past but well beaten in recent starts and likely to find a few too good racing from out of the handicap today.
Forecasts
Moojaned (5/2), Seventii (7/2), Betsalottie (6/1), John Caesar (6/1), Dakota City (7/1), Argyle (17/2), Turnbury (11/1), Mr Fickle (20/1), Party Royal (40/1), Chestnut Storm (50/1), Madame Claud (66/1), Megalala (100/1)
ARGYLE can make a winning return to the Flat on his first outing since finishing well beaten over hurdles in April. The selection ran well off higher marks when with his previous trainer and with leading amateur Simon Walker in the saddle he is taken to get the better of Dakota City who is making his debut for his rookie trainer and has the assistance of Jamie Codd in the saddle. Of the remainder Seventii has been in good form of late and can claim third off a mark 3lb higher than when filling the same position at Brighton last time.
- Argyle
- Dakota City
- Seventii
