Four time winner and running well in the main this year. Finished a decent fourth at Bangor (good) over 3m last time out and this drop in trip should suit having placed over shorter already this year.
Well beaten in three starts since winning impressively on heavy ground at Bangor in April last year. Probably best watched on his first run in nearly nine months.
Successful on heavy ground at Lingfield over 2m in February but fell next time out and well held on better ground at Hereford (2m5f, good-to-soft) when last seen in action back in March.
Not beaten far in two starts since winning over 2m5f at Fontwell (soft) in February. Races off a mark 5lb higher than for that success and has won following a break in the past.
Finished runner-up in a three runner novice chase at Leicester (2m, good) in January but disappointing since. Better effort last time out and an interesting runner today.
Has run well in two starts over 3m2f at Newton Abbot since joining this stable. Latest of those came when 17½L third on good-to-soft ground last month and he should appreciate today's drop in trip.
Best effort this year came when finishing runner-up at Fontwell (2m3f, good) in March. Disappointing since and racing from out of the handicap today.
Forecasts
Kapricorne (11/10), Bold Duke (11/2), Wish In A Well (7/1), Normandy King (8/1), Goring One (8/1), Tara Mac (12/1), Agreement (14/1)
BOLD DUKE should appreciate this drop in trip and can take this handicap chase off a mark 8lb lower than when winning over hurdles in January last year. The selection has been running well this year and can get the better of Goring One who has run well first time out in the past while Kapricorne for leading trainer Dan Skelton can take third today.
