Unraced gelding by Cacique out of Buffering. Third foal who cost 5,000 gns at Newmarket in February, and is closely related to 1m AW winner Roller. Tongue tied.
First foal by Beat All out of the consistent middle distance mare Granny McPhee. A rare jumps runner for this stable, he finished well late on when fifth on debut at Huntingdon recently (Normal Norman second, Gracie Stansfield fourth).
Unraced gelding by Diamond Boy out of the 2m1f French hurdle/2m2f French chase winner La Courtille. Capable of making his mark at this level for leading connections.
Shamardal gelding who is a half-brother to 1m2f AW winner Victoriously. Kept on from off the pace on debut to finish 2¾L second to Cuckoo's Calling at Huntingdon earlier this month (1m5½f good).
Unraced gelding by Lilbourne Lad out of Timber Tops. Seventh foal who cost £15,000 as a yearling, and is a half-brother to juvenile sprint winner Gleneely Girl. Flat pedigree.
Unraced Cape Cross gelding out of and unraced dam (Yanabeeaa). First foal who was picked up cheaply for £2,000 at Doncaster in January.
Unraced colt by Rip Van Winkle out of Metaphor. Cost £21,000 as a yearling, this 13th foal is a half-brother to six winners including Justice Belle and Blue Hussar. Positive jockey booking, and one of potential interest.
Unraced Raven's Pass gelding out of the 1m juvenile winner Wedding March. Cost 9,500 gns at Newmarket in July.
Peintre Celebre filly out of Ex Gracia. Picked up cheaply as a juvenile (£2,500), this second foal is a half-sister to 6f winner Questo. Finished fourth, 7¼L behind runner up Normal Norman, on debut at Huntingdon recently (1m5½f good).
Unraced second foal by Malinas out of Lush Lady. Her dam was an unraced half-sister to bumper, hurdle and chase winner Tomorrow's Dream, as well as bumper and 2m5f chase winner Show Me The River.
Unraced third foal by Native Ruler out of and unraced dam (Clipper Line). Not all that much to recommend based on pedigree, but her rider removes a valuable 10lb from her back.
Fourth foal by Rock Of Gibraltar out of Bright Enough who cost 4,800 gns as a yearling. Plenty to do with a few of these rivals based upon her debut effort (last of 13) at Huntingdon earlier this month. Blinkered.
Unraced filly by Areion out of Pepples Beach. Eighth foal who cost 23,000 gns as a yearling, and is a sister to German 7f-1m winner Prakasa, as well as a half-sister to three other winners including French jumper Provokator.
Unraced filly by Zamindar out of Caesarea. 12th foal who is a sister to Group placed 1m2f-1m4f winner Corriolanus, as well as a half-sister to nine winners. Cost 3,000 gns at Newmarket in May and is a stablemate of Lots Ov.
Forecasts
Rippling Waters (9/4), Normal Norman (7/2), Wishmaker (4/1), Grand Sancy (11/2), Lady Maleficent (8/1), Gamekeeper Bill (16/1), Van Grogan (25/1), Gracie Stansfield (33/1), Sutoor (33/1), Forewarning (50/1), Lahloo (50/1), Pitch Pine (50/1), Lots Ov (100/1), Zilla (100/1)
The market is likely to provide the majority of clues with a number of newcomers in the line up, so with an absence of that information present it is difficult to hold any solid views. Normal Norman came out best of the quartet to clash at Huntingdon earlier this month in chasing home Cuckoo's Calling, and whilst experience counts for plenty, it isn't easy to assess the overall worth of that form. Of the newcomers, GRAND SANCY, Van Grogan, Lady Maleficent and Rippling Waters all appear as likely enough types, with the vote going to the first named on trainer reputation alone.
- Grand Sancy
- Rippling Waters
- Van Grogan
