Successful twice over an extended 2m5f here in 2016 and made a satisfactory seasonal debut when finishing third of five at Ludlow (2m5f, good-to-firm) recently. Interesting to see how she fares in this contest.

Pulled hard when making all at Taunton (2m3f, good) in April and displayed a similar trait when pulling up in a three runner race at the same track a fortnight later. Hood worn on that occasion is left off for today's handicap debut.

Put a couple of disappointing efforts behind him when finishing runner-up over an extended 2m at Bangor (good-to-soft) earlier this month. Races off a 5lb higher mark and wears a hood for the first time in this contest.

Best recent effort came when runner-up over 2m1f at Newton Abbot (good) last month. Decent effort in a better race at Fontwell since and has a leading conditional booked to ride once more.

Winner on debut over hurdles at Stratford (good) in April and has since justified odds-on favouritism at Market Rasen (good). Well held the last twice and makes his handicap debut for a new yard today.

Winner three times earlier this year including over C&D on soft ground in March. Well beaten on his last three starts but back down to a mark just 2lb higher than for his most recent success.

Forecasts

Barman (7/2), General Ginger (7/2), East Indies (9/2), On Demand (5/1), Garo De Juilley (8/1), Ivor's Queen (8/1), Lord Huntingdon (11/1), Nabhan (20/1), Thundering Home (40/1), I'll Be Your Clown (100/1)

Verdict

LORD HUNTINGDON can reverse form with his Plumpton conqueror East Indies as they meet once more in this Class 3 handicap hurdle. The selection ran well for a long way prior when third on that occasion and register a third win over hurdles at the expense of Gary Moore's charge. The first time hooded Barman put in his best effort since winning at Warwick 13 months ago when runner-up at Bangor last time and can take third while today.
  1. Lord Huntingdon
  2. East Indies
  3. Barman
