Made all to win two point-to-points and did likewise over hurdles. Has always looked the type to do better at this game and he is an exciting recruit.
One of the more experienced chasers in this lineup but he is also the one most prone to errors. Beat Cole Harden at Ffos Las in May but that rival never warmed to chasing and the form looks suspect.
Galloped his rivals into submission in March and unlucky not to follow up 10 days later. Makes his chasing debut on ground which looks quicker than ideal.
Established himself as a decent handicapper when picking up a 3m4f chase on good ground in the spring. Has gone well fresh in the past but this is likely to be run at a pace which might find him out at the trip.
Placed in a point-to-point and expolited a good handicap mark to score at Sandown in February. Off the track since March and may need slower ground. Looks a chaser in the making so worth watching for the future.
Has the stamp of a chaser and this debut has been eagerly awaited. Winner here over hurdles on New Year's Eve, but stable have made a slow start to the campaign.
Has landed a couple of lower grade summer handicap chases and this looks far more competitive. Conditions are favourable and his mark looks reasonable enough.
Collected hurdles here and at Warwick on testing ground but has form on sounder surfaces too. Went well on his seasonal debut last year and one of many exciting recruits to chasing in this.
Purchased for £27,000 with a chasing career in mind and successful over hurdles on his seasonal bow in 2016. The trip and ground are ideal and the market should be informative.
Has shown some ability over hurdles but is thrown in at the deep end on his chasing debut and stable are relatively quiet.
Half-brother to Welsh National winner Monbeg Dude so safe to assume we are yet to see the best of this big horse. Showed a good battling attitude to land a hurdle at Hereford and that will serve him well this winter.

Get On The Yager (5/2), Sir Ivan (4/1), Another Venture (5/1), Rock On Oscar (6/1), Bennys King (7/1), Court King (10/1), Will O'The West (16/1), Sharp Response (16/1), Major Hindrance (16/1), Robin Of Locksley (20/1), Mustmeetalady (20/1), Shanty Town (50/1)
This is a race to savour and watch with an eye to the future with chasing types such as Major Hindrance, Will O'the West, Another Venture and Get On The Yager making their debuts over fences. Rock On Oscar will be entitled to need this, whilst Mustmeetalady may need further. SHARP RESPONSE came to hand early last year and has form on this quicker ground and jumps fences for the first time in public. Held in high regard and long expected to achieve even more over fences, he could be the answer to a tricky but exciting contest.
- Sharp Response
- Get On The Yager
- Will O'the West
